Amazing food and superb atmosphere and great service. One of the best food I had in Chicago. Must visit once, it bit pricey compared to other Indian restaurants but food is worth it. Satisfied with food n service. Will visit again soon

I ordered a masala here. The food is great, however there are some issues with this place
First of all, unfortunately I didn’t get a nice service here. The entrees don’t come with any side while you’re being charged with a full price, which makes the items overpriced.

I had high hopes the this place and my verdict – it is a mediocre from an Indian point of view. Non Indians will definitely like the place and above ambience. More on why I construction it mediocre later.

First off, the atmosphere is great. Thanks ambience and lighting and the entire layout works and all goes together. The staff is super friendly, attentive and checks up on you often which i really liked. And best of all, food is brought to the table extremely fast. Which made one of my daughters comment – if food is brought fast, it means it is not cooked properly.

Now she the reasons why I consider it mediocre. For an Indian who expected authentic Indian food – it was a disappointment. It is as if Indian taste is a volume or speed knob and it was turned down way low – to like 2 or 3. Everything that makes it Indian food – they have just reduced the taste, sp5asices, herbs, salt, taste, and the spiciness – everything was lowered in taste. Oh and of course increase the sweetness which I hate.

So in conclusion, I am not saying food was bad – it is just not authentic Indian food but more watered down version of Indian food – hope this makes sense. As my daughter put it – once and done kinda place.

I first want to say that I love their lamb masala! It is fantastic and the naan is pretty good BUT their prices are ridiculous! I am in the suburbs – there is no reason why I should be $20 for a medium size platter of masala with rice I never wanted! I initially ordered the Thali which is a great deal but the problem is that 70% of the dishes included are terrible! The only thing that is good is the masala but they give you a really small portion. I called and said – can I just have that small container of the lamb masala or maybe even double – I got a flat NO. They then told me it comes with rice (the entre) but I don’t want rice…. Well you have no choice! I really like the food but I am never going back. This is a complete waste of money and food! I tossed 4 cups of rice I told them from the start I did not want and I think they give it to you to make it seem like it’s worth the value. Basically if you can split it between friends – do it – otherwise for one person it’s a complete rip off. Never again!

Locals should support this gem. The Sauces were so fresh and delicious, The Malai Kofta was so comfort food yummy and the Saag had chunks of perfect veggies.
And the light fixtures are delightful.

We went here especially for the thali and we weren’t disappointed at all… Every item was on the money. We had asked for spicy and they managed to add chilli tadka to all items to get that right amount of spice. It’s all you can eat thali but we were full with the first portion itself

We took the Tour of India thali which came with 3 curries – lamb vindaloo, paneer korma and chicken tikka masala. It also had 2 samosas, salad, papad, Naan, rice and Gulab jamun. Everything was amazingly delicious. Lamb vindaloo was one the best I have ever had. I can visit this place every day. Highly recommend.

I placed an order on GrubHub that was over an hour and a half
And when I called to explain about that order issue and the fact that they only gave me a part of the rice order, they hung up on me.

I haven’t been treated with that level of disrespect from a restaurant or any business in a long time. This is really the Pinnacle of bad service.

Avoid at all costs.
