We originally planned to eat at the restaurant next door but the wait was over an hour — so we decided to pop into Kou Sushi instead, and honestly, we don’t regret it one bit! The atmosphere is very quaint and intimate. The service was so friendly and attentive, and the quality of the food completely exceeded our expectations. Every dish we ordered was surprisingly amazing, especially the salmon tataki and torched salmon belly sushi — both were melt-in-your-mouth good. Sometimes the best meals are the ones you don’t plan for — this was definitely one of them! Highly recommend.

This is the best sushi place hands down!! We were visiting from another province and were so happy to come across this resturant. The owner couple was very friendly and welcoming. The sushi and sashimi were fresh with a melt-in-your mouth texture. We even ate all the gingers and leaves on the plate. We vowed to come back to this resturant every time we come to Toronto. Highly, highly recommeneded!!! We ordered 2 party platters for 3 people and finished everything. It was that delicious!!!

We were in the area for some personal business, and my wife was craving sushi that wouldn’t break the bank. Kou Sushi showed up on Google Maps, so we decided to give it a try — and we’re glad we did!
The restaurant was quiet when we walked in, just past lunch hour.
We ordered one sushi combo to share and a tempura to start.
Everything was tasty and well-prepared for the price we paid.
Service was friendly, and the place was clean and cozy.
We’ll definitely come back again in the near future when we’re around the area.

We stumbled upon this gem after walking around the area for the first time. It was late and my group was choosing between noodles or sushi and boy, aren’t we glad we picked sushi. It is a small but cozy establishment, welcoming and friendly.
We were visiting from the Lower mainland, BC and I must say, the quality of the fish was top notch but with a much more resonable and affordable price tag in comparison. So much so that we ordered 2 platters for 3 people.
We will definitely come by again next time.

Great little Japanese restaurant we found!! A small but yummy menu. Nearly everything was good. Their sushi pizza is different from the ones I had in some other restaurants. Still tastes good, just not exactly my type. Other sushi and sashimi are yummy. Service is very very good and server is attentive.

Came here Labour Day long weekend to try some sushi. We ordered an assorted maki roll party tray and were treated to some torched salmon sushi from the chef. Aside from the food, customer service was also 10/10. Definitely felt very welcomed and will be returning very very soon.

My family and I LOVED this place! We’ve tried a bunch of sushi places by now, but this one blew us away. The sushi was amazing, the prices were very fair, and our hostess was such a delight! Highly recommend, and definitely will be coming back!
