This past June marked my very 1st visit to this location and only my 2nd visit to a Jersey Mike’s in general, Gurnee was the 1st at least 4 years ago.
I guess when it comes to sub sandwiches, I tend to be picky and have to be in the mood for one. The subs here are really good though and I actually came back twice over the next 6 weeks.
In the world of subs, the competition is fierce and JM’s is not alone out there. You’ve got Subway, Potbelly & Jimmy John’s just a few seconds away, Firehouse, Penn Station, Quizno’s, Cousins, etc.
These subs seem to be of good quality with fresh ingredients, tables are always clean at this location, haven’t had an issue with the customer service yet and prices still seem reasonable.
For me to come back repeatedly to a sub shop, they have to have at least one sub that sticks out as far as taste. In 3 visits since this past June I’ve had the Big Kahuna, the Philly and the Italian; all are great.
I think I’ve just stumbled onto a taste that’s grown on me and just typing this has me planning my next visit. Jersey Mike’s is a GO!!

Probably the best sammich place I’ve been to compared to quiznos and subway!! Right off the bat the employees are super nice. They were very happy to assist me and my coworkers with our choices. Generous with the meat and so tasty and flavorful! I got Grilled Pastrami Rueben and it is outstanding!! I also had their brownie for my side instead. Clean place, nice atmosphere, and outstanding customer service. Very pricey but it’s the price I’m willing to pay! See attached photos!

I would like to start with the fact that I have never posted anything. But for pure princaple I feel I have to on this. I went in for dinner for myself my grandma and my girlfriend. They have a deal when you buy a giant sub you get one for 5 dollars. So I have my girlfriend place and order for her and my grandma a 2 giant philly cheese steak. Then I placed a separate order for myself 2 giant roast beef. They tell me we can’t order separately and both get the deal. So they won’t honor there special because they say we are together. I will never go back again to this location. I will make sure to tell everyone I know in my area to go to another location that is not operated by the same ownership.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad customer service experience here. They got my order wrong and then didn’t want to fix it without charging me.
The young man with the blue hair shouldn’t be dealing with customers. He clearly doesn’t know how to fix a mistake with my order or is too lazy.

Hot Italian sandwich, new in the menu was horrible, the bacon was burnt and I told to put hot peppers on side but didn’t do. it. For the price I payed for, it’s not worth it. My advice to remove it out of the menu list.

How you sell somebody a B.L.T and forget the Damm Tomatoes. The whole sandwich is a BACON, LETTUCE AND TOMATOES. SMDH. I did a pu order. The store was completely empty and the order was still messed up. 20 bucks down the drain. Thanks alot Jersey mike’s.
