Truly, an amazing place! Simply simple ,good food extraordinarily clean, & the place has been there forever. I always say I wanna try something different but I get the two dogs with slaw chili and ketchup. Bag of chips sweet tea. Nothing fancy here absolutely basic but still extraordinarily delicious. Try it for yourself but remember bring cash. They do not take card.!

Walking around in downtown Monroe on a Friday afternoon and decided to grab a quick bite to eat. Ran across this cute sandwich shop and decided to check them out. Instantly transported through time as it looks like a 50s diner. I believe we walked in around 2:30pm and they were closing at 3 pm but a lot of other customers were walking in as well trying to get a last minute sandwich. Now, you can tell the workers working in the kitchen and behind the counter were younger kids because they were not very communicative or explained the menu well. We would ask a question and they would just reply with “yes” , “no” or look at us like if we should already know. A little bit off putting but Either way we went ahead and ordered two sausage dogs and their Carolina BBQ dog. VERY DELICIOUS! A perfect little pick me up on a Friday afternoon. Their sandwiches looked delicious as well and if im ever in the area, I will def return and try other things on their menu. The owner was very friendly though and made sure everything tasted great! Lots of side street parking in the area. Oh and side note, they only accept cash.

My husband got the hot dog and I got the vegetarian sandwich (toasted wheat bread). The vegetables on mine were very fresh! Love the tomato chunks and onions. The cucumber slices were crisp, as were the carrots and cabbage. With drinks, our entire meal was under $12. That’s very affordable for downtown Monroe standard!

We got 2 sandwiches, and both were good for the price! Inside, it had a lot of smoke from the bbq, so we sat outside. The service was kind. Overall, a solid experience for a quick bite.

The best sandwich shop in Monroe is Oasis Sandwich Shop. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a hello. Everything you order is made fresh as soon as your food order is taken. The day I went, I tried the tuna croissant, and my buddy had a hotdog with chili. Also, I got a bag of chips plus a soda. The tuna croissant was delicious . Next time, I’m gonna try the bbq sandwich.

Love this quaint little sandwich shop on Main Street, Monroe, NC. Hot dogs appear (from observation of purchases) to be the favorite food choice. However, there are a wide variety of sandwich choices on the menu. I had the Reuben which was very good. I have visited the Oasis several times and have never been disappointed. Place your order at the counter. It is turned over to an assembly line who efficiently fix your food and serve it to your table.

Honest review here. I don’t really care for their food that much. It is isn’t bad but really nothing special.
The service however is usually top tier. The staff is friendly and efficient. They have hired a lot of local kids over the years and taught them to be solid employees.
There is a lot to be said about a local staple they churns out functioning future workers year after year. They bring something special to downtown Monroe and I think that is worth supporting.
So even though I am not a huge fan of the food ( again it isn’t bad) I stop in and patron them a few times a year.
