I read the reviews before come and should have listened. We have been here once before and it was great. I thought I give it a try despite the negative reviews. Apparently, they have new owners. We arrived at 2:11 nobody was here. It took 45 for our food to arrive. Ordered the steak MR with mash potatoes broccoli. Calzone with side salad. The cheese was not melted. The dough was not cooked. The steak was well done. I couldn’t even eat my Calzone. Will never return. 50.00 for a lunch we couldn’t eat.

First time eating at the Equestrian Grill, and we really had a wonderful meal and service. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere welcoming. Food came out fast.

Garlic Knots were extremely good and full of flavor. We had the Chicken Empanadas, and having ate a lot of these in various other restaurants, I have to say that these are the Best. So good we came home with some. They are a good size, with beautiful pastry and packed full of chicken. A delectable taste in every mouthful.

We chose the the Churrasco Argentina Sirloin Steak with sides for our entree. It was excellent, perfectly grilled and full of flavor.

We will certainly be returning to try more from their menu, which has a great selection of dishes.

My wife is Argentinian and as a family that enjoys exploring new restaurants, we were excited to give The Equestrian Grill a try. While the staff was friendly and the service was truly great, the food, unfortunately, missed the mark for us. It lacked the authentic Argentinian flavors we’ve come to love and respect from genuine Argentinian cuisine.

We really wanted to love this place and still hope to give it another try in the future. It has the charm of a mom-and-pop spot, and we’d love to have a local favorite like that to call our regular. Fingers crossed for next time!

Awesome restaurant! The walls are decorated with authentic gaucho gear from Argentina. The food is great and the service is wonderful. They don’t seem to serve alcohol at the moment but it’s worth a trip! Gosh the spinach and cheese empanadas are so good!

This is got to be one of the friendliest places that I’ve dined in a long time with great food and great prices. We spoke with the owners which are Argentinian and the food spoke of that region. They only started doing breakfast recently but man it was great. Fresh baked bread and the best sausage you need to try. The owner stopped by and dropped off a couple pastries at no charge to our table and that made us feel special. One thing they did. Was they put a little photo album on every table that shows the pictures of the food. Because there is traditional Argentinian food it was nice to see what it looks like. I’m just so happy at how nice the place was and glad that they started doing breakfast

Pleasant experience all around. We had the empanadas followed by the Parrillada for 2. Honestly had we known, there was no reason for the appetizer but they were delicious. My favorite was the spinach and cheese, the chimichurro dip is so tasty. The
folks who own and run this place have a gem right here, there’s even an ice cream store next to it.

We arrived at about 6:20 on a Friday and it was really busy. Our hostess told us 20 minutes at least and we were pleasantly surprised that it was about 10 to be seated! We knew they didn’t have beer, so brought our own.

First the pros – our food was good. The chorizo sausage was fabulous. The Beef Milanesa was very good. The short ribs were only so-so and the serving was small and not “medium” and kind of tough. Got regular fries instead of the side I ordered. I will probably order something different next time – perhaps a special or a pizza. Food delivered around us looked appetizing and generous portions.

The not so good – Service was really, really slow – I tried to catch our server’s attention for about 15 minutes to let her know that she only brought one salad of the two ordered. Clearly the staff was overwhelmed and as a party of two instead of 4 or 5, we were pretty low on the attention list. No one ever checked to see if our meal was good. Tables around us, seated after us with more guests got more attention and free pastries. Our server tried, but Friday night was probably not the night for us to go.

We ordered dessert to go and we were in the place for a bit over two hours for just dinner with no appetizer or drinks. 🙁

We will try again sometime, perhaps midweek and order simpler food. I really want this place to succeed. We NEED better choices and more unusual options in Dunnellon. The menu is versatile and looks really interesting.

Also a note, uploaded a current menu on Google, will do so on Facebook too. Prices have increased a lot.

The Equestrian Grill
Very friendly staff, the place is nice and plus cozy. Prices are not bad, menus have have a little more than the regular traditional pizza restaurants. The menu included a Caribbean that serves grilled chicken with white rice red or black beans and grilled pork chops. They also have burgers. Kids menu are included. Se pictures. Martha gave me permission to post the menu.

Had a nice impromptu Valentines dinner here with the wife and kids. They were super packed, but handled it fairly well. We had a large assortment of the homemade empanadas, which were very good. My favorites were the spicy beef and chicken versions. Very reasonable on the pricing as well. Recommended

Server was a very pleasant young man. Atmosphere is inviting and fun. Food was not good. A 1/4 pound burger made from a small frozen patty, not even appetizing in appearance. The lettuce, tomato, and onion were fresh, but overall a terrible burger. The fries were gross. Tasted like bad oil. We also got the twin pizza and calzone. Cheese wasn’t melted, pepperoni and cheese had a weird taste to it, almost like they had taken on smells from fridge. Overall it was on par with Chuck-E- cheese pizza just with more dough. We also got potato skins as an appetizer. Thankfully those were decent. So sad we really wanted to like this place.
