I had an incredible experience at Cavi Sushi. Every bite was fresh, delicate, and beautifully prepared the kind of sushi that reminds you why you fell in love with sushi in the first place. The fish literally melts like butter on your tongue. You can taste the quality immediately.
Chef Greg deserves special recognition absolute chef’s kiss. His craftsmanship shows in every piece, from the balance of flavors to the texture and presentation. It’s clear he takes pride in what he serves, and it elevates the entire experience.
The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely sweet, which made the night feel welcoming rather than rushed. Great service plus exceptional food is a rare combination, and they nailed both.

Fantastic quality of the food. No fake crab substitute, real crab meat in the rolls. We tried 6 different rolls, all were great. My parents weren’t too much into sushi so they got the Baked Salmon and Teriyaki Chicken entrees. They really enjoyed them. Also, all the appetizers were really good. I especially liked the brussel sprouts and beef gyoza but everything was delicious. They also gave us a complimentary yellow tail sashimi which was so very fresh and tender. So I would say the food was fantastic thanks to the great chefs behind the counter.
The service was great too. All the staff were very attentive and polite. We were very happy with their professionalism and sincere service.
The atmosphere is also very comfortable and cozy, clean and tastefully decorated.
I will make Cavi a must return place for every reason!

The Cavi sushi was such a treat.
Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. The variety of sushi rolls and nigiri was impressive, the fish was incredibly fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The rainbow roll stood out for its vibrant presentation and clean, delicate taste.
We also tried the teriyaki chicken, which was tender, flavorful, and paired wonderfully with the greens. The edamame appetizer came with a unique twist, we got the garlic flavor which was great.

This was our first time visiting, and we will definitely be back. We didn’t make reservations but were fortunate to find space at the bar, which was a delightful experience. The chefs and staff are exceptional. Overall, it was a great experience! If you decide to come, be sure to make reservations in advance, as this restaurant is small, and wait times can be lengthy.

Excellent food from appetizers, salads, miso soup, sashimi, Nigerian, to hand rolls and cut rolls. The place is medium size. There is inside and outside seating and also counter seats at the sushi bar. Three tone modern Japanese prints hanging on the wall in the inside dining area and wall shelves with various saki and sojou bottles on them above the sushi bar area. We had dinner at 6pm and the place was not full but eventually more people came. There was not a lot of noise level so we were able to converse easily .

Walking distance from Americana at Brand, Cavi Sushi feels like a hidden gem amongst Glendale’s many dining options. Arriving with a group of friends and kids, the staff was immediately accommodating to make sure we were able to sit together by combining two tables – a very nice gesture.
We ordered a miso soup, shrimp tempura and beef gyoza for my daughter who loved her food. My wife and I leaned into mostly citrus-themed options by ordering the Tuna Lemon, Salmon Lime and Atomic rolls as well as an Orange Salmon sashimi. All were unbelievably delicious. The best part of the rolls is the balance – the rice isn’t overwhelming and the rolls aren’t too big so you don’t feel like you’re eating too much and getting uncomfortably full like you would at many sushi spots. The Orange Salmon sashimi with the pomegranate sauce was a unique flavor that went really well together. Of the four things we ordered, the Salmon Lime was my favorite but I’d recommend them all.
To top it off, the chef sent over a complimentary Red Snapper Nigiri. I’ve never tried red snapper before and let’s just say I will now be trying red snapper because this was delicious. Do yourselves a favor and get it.

Very mediocre sushi. Had high expectations for this place with all the reviews and marketing, to tell you the truth i was not impressed at all, very overpriced and sushi lacking freshness. The service was not so friendly and the staff seem to not care when I mentioned that the meso soup was cold. They need to make this place better and pay more attention to there customers.

Our waitress’ recommendations for sake were spot-on, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Also they warned us about a super spicy roll which was nice, for our daughter’s sake! 🙂
