Stopped in for lunch today, 1st timer so I just had to order the ‘Locomotive’ and it was FANTASTIC Full flavor home style burger with all the proper fix-ins added. I heard they have one that’s off menu called ‘Conductor’ gonna have to try that one next! Fries hit just right and the customer service was great! Definitely frequent this spot while in-town. I’ve driven past this place hundreds of times but finally stopped to eat. I regret not stopping earlier. My mother wasn’t that hungry but bought the Steak and Everything for later. She ate over half of it despite already eating before (she usually can only eat half a kids meal before filling up). She said it was so flipping good. I’m a picky guy so I stuck with the chicken strips and fries. For the price I wasn’t expecting much at all. Boy was I wrong! Those strips were great! The fries were even better! Next time I’ll have to check out their shakes. If in a time crunch use the drive thru. It wasn’t a crazy long wait but everything is cooked fresh so it’s not crazy fast either.

A cozy place to enjoy a good cheesesteak. I got the steak and everything, which I enjoyed. The cheesteak itself was very good. The bread they put it in was just okay. The store is a little small, but has a very clean anf pleasant interior. The employee who took our us was friendly and helpful. Maybe not the best cheesteak place I’ve been to, but definitely worth a visit.

I had a good experience here today. The food tasted good. I had their Philly Steak sandwich, and it seemed authentic as far as I can remember what an authentic one tastes like. The service was adequate. The restaurant is small and a little run down. Overall, this place really doesn’t stand out as exceptional, but it was pretty good.

Great little place to grab a meal. Friendly staff, fast service, tidy and quaint indoor dining area. The menu is a great mix of your usual burger restaurant items alongside their own unique stuff, such as the nachos and English potato bites. Perfect for nearby residents. I’ve never tried the drive-thru, so I can’t rate that as accurately but I assume it is effective.

Our first experience was 5 stars! The food the price, the service was AWESOME! We went back a week later to enjoy it again and I was super disappointed my steak and cheese was missing the cheese and was super dry where the week before it was absolutely perfect and cheesy, not dry at all! And the second visit they completely forgot the large fries I ordered. I didn’t notice until I got home on the west side of Provo so I didn’t want to drive back to get fries when the rest of my meal would’ve been cold. My husband said his steak and cheese was really dry too but his at least had cheese on it. I will give them another chance, but I will have to go through the entire bag to be sure everything is there before driving away bc I can’t trust that they won’t forget half of my meal.

I have been coming here at least twice a month for years. Now let me tell you something… if the “OG” (as I call him) aka the older fella (might be the owner) in the back isn’t on the grill that day the food is not nearly as phenomenal as it usually is… not worth coming if he has one of his high school employees on the grill. They simply do not know how to make good food like he does.

Have visited #SteakExpress several times here are a few comments from each visit and some of what I’ve tried.
Enjoyed a #PhillyCheeseSteak sandwich, #onionrings, and #butterscotch #shake from Steak Express. Located in the old Stan’s location. Wonderful mushrooms and veggies in the sandwich, besides the meat and cream cheese. Onion rings are battered and fried crisp. Nice cool shake to counterpoint the savory sandwich. Definitely a go to place, I never went to the place on the west side but I’ll be going to Steak Express again!
I’ve written about Steak Express steak sandwiches before and their yummy #onionrings. However this time I ordered their #LocomotiveBurger. Which I enjoyed more than expected. It is like it was made for me. Mushrooms and onions piled on the burger with a nice sliced pickle. It had BBQ sauce on it, which is what I often put on my Burgers when I make my own. I decided to avoid the starchy carbs of yummy fries or onion rings, and went with a side salad. The side salad was larger than expected, made with a pile of mixed greens and lettuce. Sliced cucumber and tomato, and carrots. Steak Express always exceeds my expectations and they have never disappointed me.
I’ve also enjoyed many flavors of shakes, often their shake of the month. I’ve enjoyed #ClamChowder, a nice change from their burgers and cheeseSteak sandwiches, and their Cod #FishAndChips all have been very tasty.

This place hits. Food and staff are both great. Gotta love these hole in the wall places and keep them alive because they always have a lot of personality. The dining area is a little small but that’s only cause they have to have a big kitchen to cook fire meals. I also helps that when you get takeout its just as good as dining in unlike other restaurants.
