We like to try little local restaurants when we travel. Do not pass up Emma’s! Anthony was so attentive and excited to explain what the food was. We ended up ordering sopapillas after Anthony’s recommendation and LOVED them!! Food is wonderful! I asked for no beans in mine and was happily accommodated. I had green sauce (I don’t like beans) and was so happy with my choice. My husband tried his with 1/2 green sauce and 1/2 red sauce. He couldn’t decide which was more delicious.

We really enjoyed eating here while traveling through the area! This is the best southwestern food I’ve had anywhere! The tortillas for the tacos are made fresh, the rice is excellent, and the red and green sauce on the burritos were both very unique and tasty! The service was also fast and friendly!

This was our first time enjoying ourselves at this restaurant. We were greeted immediately upon arrival by a friendly gentleman. Our drink order was taken immediately and we were given menus. Since we have never been here we were recommended the old man special however we had had something similar to that just the night before. So we opted for something different. I had the Emma special and my husband had the burrito I believe. The price was right and we will definitely be back. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.

Food was alright. Server was nice. There were not many people in at 5pm so it was quiet. There was no soap or towels in the women’s restroom. The chips and salsa were not free, but we got them to try. The chips were sturdy and good, but the salsa tasted like peppery sweet pizza sauce. The chicken enchiladas with green chile were a little bland, but the beans and rice were good. The bean and beef burrito was kind of sad looking with not a ton of flavor.

Great family run, friendly, homestyle Southwest cooking at reasonable prices. Look for some of the cool memorabilia on the walls. Restrooms available and free parking. The tacos were corn, and uniquely part crispy, part soft. Refried beans and Spanish rice were delicious.

If you are looking for true Southwestern Mexican food look no further than Emma’s! We ordered bean burritos one with vegetarian red sauce and the other with green chile pork sauce. Both were absolutely delicious and the customer service was impeccable! For dessert the sopaipillas were incredible (they came with sweet butter) but they’re so much better with honey drizzled inside. Great find about 45 minutes outside of Great Sand Dunes National Park.

Stopped by one day on a whim. Anthony is a fanatic employee and hearing his stories about his grandmother’s restaurant always fun. He makes wonderful margaritas and the stuffed sopapilla are always my favorite. I hate to deviate once I find something I love but they do have great specials also. Their green chili is amazing on everything.
