This is one of our go to restaurants. French cuisine in Belmont Village! Great setting, beautiful decor, friendly and helpful staff are just the beginning of why we love it!! The food is absolutely perfect everytime and we almost always try the specials as they are coming from the heart of the Chef, you can just tell… so thank you! Rack of Lamb, Duck Confit and Coq au Vin are spectacular choices to go along with their large wine menu. Deserts like Tiramisu and Creme Brulee hit the spot with coffee too! Highly recommend booking a table as they are above and beyond what you’ll find in the local neighborhood. Thank you Elixir Bistro!!!

Made reservations for myself and my husband tonight. We are in love with the food by this chef, his flavors are spot on. We ordered the escargo for appetizer (wifes favourite) main dishes were the duck dish and Chilean sea bass, paired with red house wine and for dessert creme brulee with coffee and tea. Thank you for a lovely dinner. This is mine and my husband’s favorite place. This is the first time we were in the new updated Elixer and it is gorgeous.
Your truly, Ashley

The patio is so beautiful and surrounded by flowers. Food is so good, the duck confit is so tasty! The pear salad is fresh and delightful. Lamb is tender, very delicious too. Staff are so nice and friendly! Will definitely come back and highly recommend this gem!

Lovely quaint place. Food was delicious! My only complaint would be the presentation. It looked like a home cooked meal rather than a high end meal.

My husband and I came to Elixir for the first time to commemorate our anniversary. Our experience was fabulous as the food was impressively delicious. For starters we got escargots and fois gras. The fois gras was the best I ever had with a velvety and smooth consistency; for mains, we got boeuf bourguignon and the lamb shank, paired with a great Bourdeaux wine, and for the dessert we got the pistachio and almond cake, which was perfectly balanced, not too sweet and very delicate. it was suggested to us by Jennifer; she was very personable, pleasant and efficient. The environment and the music were cozy and welcoming. We had a great experience and we would definitely come back.

10/10. No photos to share as we were chatting, hungry and then devoured our meals. Our group shared escargot (served with fresh bread and just the right amount of garlic). Our mains included the steelhead fish feature (with purple brocoli and an incredibly delicious celeriac purée) and duck confit. The service was a perfect balance of checking in, filling up wine as needed but never too much . Personable and friendly the restaurant is warm and cozy even on a freezing winter night. Would definitely recommend. There is parking out front and a few lots on Belmont.

Just had our anniversary dinner here and it was so lovely. The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere with the soft music in the background. I liked sitting at the window seat too.
The smoked salmon starter was light and went well with the complimentary bread in olive oil.
I had the filet mignon and it was super tender and well seasoned. The grilled veggies were perfect.
My husband had the veal medallions and he enjoyed them as well.
The portion sizes were pretty generous and I didn’t think anything was egregiously expensive.
We finished the meal with the vanilla bean creme brûlée which was so good.
Overall I thought it was a really lovely place for a dinner and I will definitely be back.

We ordered a few dishes and to our disappointment none of them were good. Extremely overpriced food:
– Beef Bourguignon was stale
– the scallops were overcooked
– The Escargot was overcooked as well
– The most desapointing was the Chocolate Truffle Cake which is actually a Costco Tuxedo Cake. Buy the cake from Costco.

One of the best French restaurants I’ve visited. The chef uses unique ingredients like Okra in various dishes. Most of the dish I’ve tried has been amazing – especially the lamb, and mashed potatoes with parsnips. Love the lemon raspberry cake, so delicious. The mashed potatoes were a little heavy though.
