This is a fairly new location on Commercial Blvd. in east Fort Lauderdale–right where Bost0n Market was housed for many years.
I walked in, placed our orders for barbecue brisket which comes with their delicious cornbread, pulled pork sandwich combo for my daughter with a creamy mac n cheese and a bottle of Crush soda, and finally, a sliced turkey sandwich with jalapeño sausages for the man of the house.
The dining area began to fill up quickly as I waited for our orders to be finished and bagged. They gave us a generous amount of sauces which I got to pick from—my favorite was the Smoky Mountain. The service was great and the food excellent!
While my favorite is and will probably always be Texas brisket—this was tender and really good!
I took our food to go and we chowed down at home, savoring every delicious bite and morsel to our hearts’ content. I gotta say that each menu selection was as good as the next!

Very consistent food quality, short and easy menu to choose from, uncomplicated, with a handful of seasonal sides. The half chicken is very moist and tasty, and the chicken platter is a good chunk of meat if you like a good protein packed lunch or dinner. The sausage platter is very good too. We just had the BEST experience at mission BBQ. The food was phenomenal and true southern barbecue! Pulled chicken was tender and juicy just as advertised. Collard greens were great as is but I added a little vinegar table-side and it just kicked it up a notch! Mac n cheese was creamy and oh so cheesy! I knew I had to try the banana puddin’ and it didn’t disappoint at all. Lastly, I drink a lot of sweet tea, and when I tell you this place has perfectly sweetened tea it really does! Everything was so good.
But then to top it off, Ms. Tina and Ms. Amanda provided us with amazing customer service. My whole family agreed that the service was what really made this place so much better. The food came out quickly. A whole family of 7 was in and out less than 45 minutes! They also provided a complementary birthday banana pudding and sang happy birthday to my brother in law, as well as provided coupons for free sandwiches next time we come back (and trust me, there will be a next time!) I truly can’t say enough good things about my very first trip to mission. They have made me a customer for life! Ohhhh and the last kudos I need to mention, every day at noon the whole restaurant comes to a stop to stand, face the flag, and listen to the national anthem. So patriotic and American focused. They are doing BBQ and our country right!

Great BBQ, moist brisket was good. Definitely on a higher side of pricing, tho. Service was super friendly, soda machines were out of certain flavors and they fixed it swiftly. Restrooms were needing some attention, but not too bad.

Saw this place from the road and thought, why not. OMG. I am so glad I stopped in. This place ranks at one of the top BBQ places I’ve ever been at, and I’ve traveled all over the United States. Service was top notch, and the staff is very friendly at Mission BBQ. Walked in and thought it was going to be like every other fast food place. Oh man, I was so wrong. This place really cares about service and taking care of their customers. That means a lot to me, and I am sure to most people that are reading this review. Had the Hawaiian ribeye with collard greens and peach cobbler. O M G… before I knew if my plate was clean empty but my stomach was full. LoL I was so impressed by this place that I bought lunch for the next day. Now, here’s the thing. The pictures you see are real. But I bought 2 orders and got a thick cut of ribeye. You’ll see it in the photos. I highly recommend this place in Fort Lauderdale,Fl. You will not leave hungry or disappointed either. Well enough of me babbling on just look at the pictures they tell the whole story. LoL

My first time, and I was warmly welcomed by Loretta. She is such a bright shinning star. Her sweet welcome make u want to stay inside and eat all day. She is so warm and made my meal pleasantly tasteful. The other staff member were awesome too. The young lady that cuts and serve the meat was amazing. She has a lil size. Not sure what her name is. I love this place

Mission did a party of 60 for us and everything was delicious! Delivery went smoothly! Ribs were fall off the bone perfect ! We had several other items on the menu ! We also dined in earlier in the month to taste various items.

Being from NC, I love BBQ and happy to see Mission BBQ right around the corner from where I live! Plus, they have Cheerwine (a North Carolina favourite)! Delicious food and excellent service! I do wish their green beans did not have bacon and were less spicy (so I could have a healthier option) but I do enjoy their Mac & Cheese! Ordered the Chopped Brisket sandwich with my birthday reward and now I am craving it every day! Yum!

In an area where is hard to find some American food, this was disappointing. The bake beans & coleslaw are trash an the pulled pork is edible but far from great. They obviously smoke it with inferior wood or something. I get pulled pork all over the state. Will never come here again. But the service was fast an the workers where great.

Overall a very good restaurant and BBQ joint. Clean place, excellent food and good prices and a friendly staff. What more can you ask for? The environment inside is in honor of service men/women around the world and they have a patriotic spirit. I’ve been to the Davie, Florida location and fort lauderdale and they are consistent in all regards of service and quality! Come check it out when you’re on a mission for a great meal!
