I came in for taco Tuesday on a recommendation from a co-worker who spoke so highly of the street tacos. I ordered to go and picked them up and when we opened them to eat, we were so disappointed. They not only smelled rancid but also tasted spoiled like the steak was bad. I called to advise them and was offered free replacement but I did a hard pass because my stomach was already churning from what I did consume. I should have been offered a refund but lesson learned not to eat there ever again. Something either was left out at room temperature too long or was already spoiled and they used the meat anyway. Either way just check your food there if you do decide to chance it.

I have been going to this place since they opened, I used to always see the owners when I came in, and the food was great and fresh.
For the last couple of months, I have noticed the food was a little different, and today was terrible, I’ll tell you, is the last time I buy food there. The rice was obviously a couple days old, dry and flavor was totally off, the “salsa” for the chips was just bland tomato sauce, my chicken quesadilla, I would love to know who put the cheese and chicken on, and then I would like to know who took it off… it was so sad, even the limes where depressing, old and dry, to the verge of rotten, you can tell they have been cut for a couple of days. And finally me and my family are big fans of Horchata, and we really really like theirs, but today again was so bad, very watered down it didn’t even looked right.
I really hope is just a bad day and they are still doing good food, but unfortunately it’s not worth for my to risk it to pay $80-100 a meal and have to throw away more than half away.

This place is great. Very authentic feel and flavor. My husband and I frequent taco shops, being from AZ, and this one upholds that on the boarder feeling all the way up in MI. We love Ponchos!
We got their lunch deal. Tacos beans, rice, and a fountain drink. Super reasonable price. Got chips and salsa as soon as we sat. And refills upon empties. Enjoyed the service, food, and atmosphere!

I used to like this place. Tacos were delicious. Now I feel like they’re taking advantage of customers. I spent 25 dollars almost 30 with me and my wife. Now I spent 50 dollars where I could of gone to a different Mexican restaurant and ordered fajitas and flautas for me and my wife for the same price. Last time we’re going there. Expensive to be honest

My husband and I have been coming to this ponchos tacos for over two years now and the food used to be amazing, if I would’ve left a review a year ago I would’ve put 5/5 stars. We came here very very often and to this day we still do until the last couple times we have went the food has tasted completely different. The rice seems like It’s made different each time now and it’s not really giving that authentic taste anymore same with the texture of the rice.We were very unsatisfied when we ate here which was about two nights ago, the rice used, texture and taste was not like the authentic Mexican rice they used to make. Don’t know if we will be returning, The time previous to this, I was iffy about getting it again because the rice and meat has tasted completely different lately. Also seems like they’ve cut down on giving customers sauce and limes.

The staff was helpful and expedient. The food was awesome. The steak tacos with rice and beans and the steak quesadilla was what we ordered. Make sure to ask for the house made hot sauces, the green one is spicier but they are both excellent. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit and don’t forget to order your Coke that is made in Mexico!

This is the place the locals eat at. Food: Great food. Had the taco plate, steak. Excellent. The wife had the Torta with the pork. That, too, was excellent. Food was hot and good portions.
Service: Family members, nice polite, attentive.
Atmosphere: It’s very clean. They had some Christmas decorations up, nothing on the walls, but it was cold inside. That’s why 4 stars.
We were so hungry we ate some food before we remembered to take pictures, enjoy!!!

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY!! The photos you see are not what you get. Just spent $42 for 2 tacos, delivery fees and tip. No receipt of card transaction was given. No phone call stating my order would not be complete. They are less than a mile away from the hotel I’m in. They will tell you photos were taken by customers and not actually what you’re getting. Lol
