Hidden gem! We went to the Catskills to escape the city and were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this truly Brooklyn Italian maestro of a chef, Franco. Immediately you’re given a warm, homey welcome as if you just walked into your family kitchen. Excellent service, delicious food, just wonderful Italian vibes. My fiancé and I could not have had a better experience. We started off with the burrata caprese which was delightful. My fiancé ordered the lamb shank and I ordered the mushroom/shrimp rigatoni dish and then we had the tiramisu for desert. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. They’ve got a great wine menu and serve beer as well. We will absolutely be coming here again! Highly recommend!!

We had the most amazing authentic Italian food with fresh ingredients that felt right out of Italy. The owner/chef Franco is gifted and committed for you to have the best experience.
I’m happy to have found this gem and look forward to coming back again and again.

Amazing food and people. The owner is a great guy. He cooks traditional Italian food just like you would find in an Italian household. This is not Olive Garden Italian, it’s the real deal. Mario was working the night we went and he was a blast to talk to. You can expect amazing food, a lot of talking in Italian and the chance to meet some interesting people. It’s our new “go to” place.

It’s hard to find a restaurant, even in NYC, that transports you to an authentic Italian home kitchen. The space is intimate, expect to interact with the lively and passionate owner/chef Franco and receive a full sensory dining experience. The food was fresh from the garden/sea. The pasta and calamari was cooked to perfection. Go check it out, arrive early for a table!

We’ve been to Radici for both lunch and dinner. Franco, the warm and affable owner and chef, greeted us warmly and made us feel like we were eating in his home. The food is authentic and expertly prepared with great care and attention to detail. I am Calabrese myself and can happily report that Radici is the real thing. We’ll be back again soon. Be sure to try Franco’s signature Calabrese pasta and excellent polpette.

Franco, the Calabrese man poring his love of cooking on to plates. Very good food. Authentic southern Italian food cooked with love and smiles. Ask for him to sing, he has a very good voice on top of everything. Must try!

This is a hidden gem, and hands-down the best Italian food you can find in the Hudson Valley. Cash only for now, but so worth it! The Calamari is unlike any I’ve ever tasted, must have!

A friend and I had a leisurely lunch at the Radici (“Roots”) recently, an intimate, casually elegant restaurant on the back side of Main Street, overlooking the Catskill Creek. All I can say is WOW! I have fairly high standards, being fed well as a boy by my Italian nona.

Franco, the owner/cook combines tremendous passion and talent in presenting the cuisine of his youth in Calabria, in southwest Italy.

My date had one of Franco’s amazing paninis, I had his bucatini in a *perfect* ground sweet/hot sausage ragout (apparently his father’s favorite dish), and we shared a stand-out arugula salad.

You cannot go wrong. Please visit soon so we can keep this treasure in Catskill.
