I ordered a BBQ burger and fried mushrooms. Was super excited I’ve heard they have the best mushrooms. My first trip here. The mushrooms come out, I bite into them and they’re still frozen inside. I sent them back obviously. They send them back out like they just dropped the same ones and return them so burnt they were almost black. I’ll never waste my time or money again. Horrible experience.

This place is legendary. I can remember my grandma driving all the way across town for the fish (pronounced feesh) sandwich. Glad to see that some things never change. Hadn’t been back home for nearly 10 years. The tenderloin and the fish sandwich were still as amazing as ever. Don’t pass up on the Bush (pronounced Boosh)!

2nd I fly in annually to eat here, er, umm *clears throat* I mean I fly in to go to my family reunion… But eating here at some point over the weekend is a priority.
3rd, the fish & the fresh Tartar Sauce… Don’t pass that up either!

Not anything fancy, but a nice kind of old fashion Mom and Pop type of family restaurant. Has its own bar separate from dining area. Good food. Friendly service. When I’m back in the Terra Haute area, I definitely will go back.
