First time trying out this place, and let me tell you, they don’t mess around! Food was amazing, large portion sizes, hot, fresh, and reasonably priced. They even wrapped the containers in foil, and provided gloves. The couple who own the food truck were so incredibly nice and welcoming. Highly recommend trying them out.

NOBODY DOES IT LIKE THE CRAB TRAP OF DALLAS!!!!!! This is not my first time at the Crab Trap, and let me tell you, NOBODY AND I MEAN NOBODY comes close. I’ve tried several other places, at least 5 and every single time I end up disappointed and feeling I’ve wasted my money. The Crab Trap is the only spot that gets it right every time: fresh, seasoned to perfection, and worth ever single dollar From here on out, if it’s not The Crab Trap, I’m not getting it, I’ll pass They’ve set a standard in my book and nobody else matches it. Absolutely worth the drive!
This was my first time trying The Crab Trap Dallas food truck in Forney, TX, and it did not disappoint at all. From the moment I ordered, the customer service was superb—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely appreciative.
Now let’s talk about the food. I’m originally from southeast Louisiana, so I’m very picky (and hard to please) when it comes to seafood, especially here in Texas. The crab legs were large, meaty, and full, and the seasoning was on point—bold, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Every bite tasted fresh and well-prepared.
If it weren’t such a long ride for me, I’d honestly be there every weekend. That’s how good it was. Thank you, The Crab Trap Dallas, for such an amazing first experience—I’ll definitely be back!

Portion sizes are generous for the price, which is rare these days. For a $20–30 range, you’re getting quality and value, not just hype. Everything came out hot and fast, and the service was attentive without being overbearing.

Tried Crab Trap Dallas for the first time and although I was a bit skeptical on trying a new place, I was highly impressed!! Food was awesome!! Seasoned well and crab claws weren’t skimpy! They did the big one for sure! Y’all go try it! Great food and great service!

The Crab Trap Dallas Definitely has a solid seafood boil! The shrimp and the crab were cooked perfectly, I loved that the shrimp were actually deveined, that hardly ever happens with crab boils that you buy and don’t cook yourself. Very reasonably priced for the quality and amount of food you get . Everything was really good. Today they’re at the little food truck place off 741. I called in my order and they stayed in touch and kept me updated when it would be ready, pleased with the whole experience.

Pulled up and the owners were very personable and explained the menu breakdown for me. They Let me know it would take about 10 to 15 minutes, which I had no problem with ensuring that the food was fresh. I got the shrimp and crab leg platter. Everything was on point from the flavor of the shrimp and crab legs down to the tenderness of the potatoes and corn. I will give the total experience a 10 out of 10. Definitely recommend.

This place has the best seafood I’ve ever had—everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere and service made the experience even better. On top of that, they hosted a Christmas giveaway, and I was lucky enough to win! It truly made the visit unforgettable. Cooked fresh hot. And was nice size portions. I got the lobster plate, let’s just say we never made it out the parking me my friend smashed our plate right there in the car. The food was nice and hot seasoned with the sauce perfect. 10 out of 10. Overall great food. Will be back this weekend.
