Atoma was hands down the best dining experience I’ve ever had. Every dish was incredibly unique and thoughtful and most importantly – delicious. The highlights from the food for me were the rosette cookies, the hokaido scallop, the dish that had the dolma sausage, and the crumpets (we ordered 2 rounds of all of these). I don’t even like mushrooms, but the Mitake mushroom dish was really good. All of these dishes were great for sharing family style. The desserts at the end finished off as a crescendo to our symphony of a dinner, all incredibly amazing.

The amount of different people contributing to our experience and touching the table throughout our hour and a half dining experience was note worthy. They really showed a lot of care and thoughtfulness in the dining experience.

We tried almost all of the cocktails and they were all extremely well done – my favorites being the Mira Flores and their rendition of an Irish coffee (extra cream ). The X gon give it to ya cocktail was really fun and intricate! Didn’t get to dive too much into their wine selection which looks great, but I did try a Syrah that was wonderful.

Lived up to the hype and beyond for having a multiple week waitlist!

Look forward to coming back for an 2nd round – and to trying the caviar service!

Very cozy, delicious food, friendly & very knowledgeable staff. There were three of us, and we ordered pretty much the whole menu to share, except for a few things we weren’t interested in. Plus, none of us eat lamb, so we passed on that. The least of our favorite was chicken liver parfait. The berry flavor was a little too overwhelming that we could barely taste the liver. Beef coulotte were a little chewy, but flavorful. Pink scallop, Kanpachi, Sturgeon and spiced maitake were our favorite. Overall, everything was delicious and beautifully presented.

We came at 4:30pm to grab a table at the bar counter. Got lucky and sat right by the kitchen (there are only 4 seats there). There’s a few more bar seating options but they don’t have a view of the kitchen. Loved being able to watch the action in the kitchen and the bar.

The small bites are actually quite generous in portion size. I really liked the beef tartare. Rosette cookie was surprising. Cocktail was delicious, though pricey.

For entrees we tried the lamb roulette and the black cod. Both were good but I think if I came back I’d rather try more of the appetizers and do it tapas style, for more variety.

Potatoes (spuds) are tasty and definitely fill you up. May be a bit too much for 2 people.

Appreciated the free dessert bite at the end! We were too full to order any dessert.

Went out for a nice birthday dinner. Waitress was very nice. Food was great.

Their non-alcoholic cocktails are really nice too.

Their shareable portion of the menu is not super shareable as they tended to be very small. If you want something to fill you up, definitely go with the chicken schnitzel, potato salad, or the crumpet.

We spent $120 per person before taxes/tip but you can easily get by with just spending $50-60 per person. We just wanted to try as much as we could fit in our stomach.

I think they usually book 2 hours per table. We tried to order more when we realized we still had room but were told our time was almost up. Thankfully the kitchen/waitress were able to get out some more dishes plus the baked Alaska (awesome desert, heard the lady next to us came to Atoma specifically for it) before it was time to go!

Will definitely come again

Beautiful space, charming vibe — but a meal of highs and head-scratching lows.

The ambience is genuinely lovely. The setting inside a single-family house is super cute, warm, and intimate. Unfortunately, the execution in the kitchen doesn’t always live up to the atmosphere.

The Rosetta cookie is pretty, but that’s where its appeal ends for me. The filling is pearl onion, which feels like a deliberate nod to Canlis — but I honestly don’t understand what’s special about pearl onions here or how they’re different from regular onions in flavor or effect.

We had an off-menu appetizer of grilled cod collars, which was excellent. Deeply umami, soy-glazed with a subtle kick — rich, satisfying, and easily the highlight of the meal. I’d order this again in a heartbeat if it’s available.

For mains, we got black cod and beef coulotte. The black cod was very well executed with great doneness, and the sauce was quite classic and standard, nothing particularly distinctive.

The beef coulotte was a miss. It feels like the wrong cut for what the dish is trying to be — the cut at medium rare was tough, hard to cut, and close to impossible to chew. Good luck if you’re looking to work your chewing muscles.

Overall, Atoma has a charming setting and flashes of real skills, but inconsistent execution and some questionable menu decisions hold it back from being good.

I can’t say enough about Atoma other than it was a dream to eat here. Chef Johnny knows what’s up. I was here for a private event, there was a set menu and everything on it was incredible. The flavors, the sauces, textures, along with the ambiance of being in an old house turned restaurant. The staff is so kind making you feel right at home. I am looking forward to returning again!

This has to be the best meal I have had in Seattle. Every dish was executed to perfection, with flawless presentation and rich, layered flavors. I have never tasted vegetarian food with this much depth, and every plate impressed us.

The only downside was the wait time. Even with a reservation, we waited about 45 minutes, likely due to a busy Friday evening. However, the restaurant handled it well and made up for the delay. I walked in feeling slightly frustrated but left completely satisfied by the meal. Because of that, I could not bring myself to deduct any points. We will definitely be back.

Atoma really exceeded expectations. The grilled cucumbers were a surprise highlight: smoky, perfectly balanced, and surprisingly addictive. The duck preparation was unique, not overly sweet, and beautifully presented. The crudo so flavorful. Cocktails like the Jambroni and the after dinner coffee and whiskey drink were creative, well balanced, and beautifully presented. The appetizers and cocktails stole the show for me.

Service was outstanding: knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. The wine was also very good. Every dish felt thoughtful but not overly fussy. Unique flavors and not overly complicated so the main ingredient really could be enjoyed in both fresh flavor and texture. Some of the best tomatoes I have eaten over the last year. A place that takes flavor and presentation seriously but still makes it all feel comfortable and welcoming. I left impressed and looking forward to returning soon.

Absolutely divine! The food and staff were absolutely top notch, we had such a lovely dinner from start to finish. Our server had great recs, both for drinks and dishes, and we left way more full than planned. The chicken liver pate was fabulous, the butternut squash dish was perfection, the blackened cod main was similarly delicious, and the potatoes were just perfectly roasted potatoes, great addition without being excessive! Everything was scrumptious and the price felt beyond reasonable for the whole experience. We went for New Year’s Eve eve and will absolutely be back soon!

3.0 stars. Pretty mediocre, especially for the $400 bill at the end. Between the four of us, we basically tried the whole menu and we all agreed it was just okay. I can tell the chefs are trying hard to make their menu creative but they fall short in making it a memorable meal as everything tasted so mediocre. Presentation was nice though.

We had the rosette cookie, deviled crab, hokaido scallops, lamb saddle, sturgeon, pork coppa, baked Alaska dessert, bananorama (tasted like bananaboat sunscreen), and a scoop of the tea ice cream(too salty).

Overall, not a bad meal but will not be returning.
