I checked this location out when they first opened a few years ago. This time I thought would be worth a review. I stopped in on a Sunday as soon as they opened to gauge how they compare to the other seafood boil establishments within close proximity. Let’s just say they were the most empty at the time. The location was clean and very sparse of patrons and workers but oh well. We were seated in a booth by the bar so the lone bartender/server could be used with ultimate efficiency. We ordered a couple beers but was told that the majority of beer on tap was unavailable. Believable, if the location looked like they were booming at all times but it was an absolute ghost town. Next we ordered the scallops bc the first time we were here they were not the best. This time we were served full scallops in a choice of sauces used for the boil bags. We opted for garlic butter. Great flavor, but unfortunately the presentation lacked substance. It’s hard feeling fancy when your meal is served on a paper plate ugh. I also ordered the fried shrimp basket with hush puppies instead of fries. Shrimp was seasoned and crispy, no complaints. The hush puppies made me miss the Chesapeake Bay Seafood House bc nobody has even come close to those ever. Just a few tips moving forward, maybe try an all day weekend happy hour to bring in more people like other boil spots near you take full advantage of. Maybe then you can hire more people, and upgrade your dinnerware. Might actually survive another year. The food is good but the atmosphere is lacking people.

This location was superb. I dined here on Mother’s Day. The snow crab legs were a decent size and my son got the noodles and he thoroughly enjoyed it! We also ordered the fried shrimp and that was good as well! The service was awesome. I wish I could remember our waitress name but she was very nice and attentive. I will definitely be back!

My recent visit to Rock & Toss in the busy Largo shopping center was disappointing, especially given the prime location. I expected better.
The experience started poorly upon entry: despite the lack of a crowd, the hostess was in a back room wearing a coat, which immediately suggested the restaurant was uncomfortably cold.
We were seated without being informed about the Happy Hour specials.Our server, however, was friendly and attentive and provided good service, including bringing out complimentary popcorn.
The major issues were with the food quality:
* Chicken Wings: The wings looked and tasted old. When we requested fresh chicken, we were told it would take 30 minutes, which was strange since our original order arrived much faster than that.
* Fish and Onion Rings: The batter on the fish was excessively thick and seemed to be the exact same heavy batter used for the onion rings.
The Happy Hour drink prices were good, and the drinks themselves were fine, but overall, the quality of the food needs significant improvement. I hope the restaurant will invest in better marketing and, more importantly, elevate the quality food of its and preparation.

This used to be my go-to spot for lunch with my friend, and I’ve rarely had issues in the past. However, on April 16, I had a very disappointing experience. I ordered steamed oysters, but they were undercooked and essentially still raw. I then ordered clams, which I also had to send back because every single one was still closed. At that point, I was left with just the shrimp, lobster tail, and a side of broccoli. I decided to just take everything home. (For the record, our server was very kind and professional throughout.)
When I got home and opened the broccoli, I was completely disgusted to find maggots in the bag. I immediately called the restaurant and asked for the manager. The woman who answered asked for details and said she’d notify the owner. I later received a text apology and was offered a refund for the $4 broccoli and either a complimentary fried basket/appetizer on my next visit, or 15% off my next seafood bag.
I appreciate the apology but this is a food safety issue fr. After that experience, I won’t be returning. Maggots show up for a reason.

Come on now!!! You all need more servers and bartenders in here!!! People should not have to wait an extremely long time for service or for a check. The experience was not good but it wasn’t for the lack of the bartenders and servers trying. The owner needs to do better. If you dont want to hire staff to create a better experience for this community, then close down! Why are there 2.5 people running the entire restaurant from the tables, to hosting, to bartending!?!?!? I’m almost ready to call the Labor Board! Get it together!

I came in on 11/1 and to my surprise it wasn’t that busy , however my server made up for the lack of atmosphere in the restaurant. Sky was personable , friendly , attentive , funny and all around just a joy to be with , now the food on the other hand I must say wasn’t all that the sauce was watery and it honestly wasn’t enough sauce but I would try them again simply because I enjoyed my service !
