Absolutely quaint restaurant that has excellent service second to none. I ate breakfast here both days i was here, and the food, service and atmosphere were perfect. The bonus was the best mocha I’ve ever had courtesy of Jim. Excellent service from Tharu and Galuh! Any time I return to Austin I will return to the Blue Lacy!

Finally tried this place after visiting the Thinkery with my toddler, and it was really pleasant. I’m sure it’s different on a weekend or a busy evening, but midday midweek was very cozy and good service!
I ordered the salmon bagel (breakfast is served all day), and really enjoyed the sun dried tomato relish on top. It’s not the best bagel in town, but I’d happily order again. They serve breakfast all day, and I love that they have a little coffee menu.
It was also a pretty kid friendly experience. I have a talkative toddler, and both the bartender/barista and our server were gracious and responsive to him. The kids menu is standard and perfect for most kids. They even have some games and toys in the back sitting area. According to their signage, kids eat free on Monday during happy hour (5-7p).
They have a dog-friendly patio and even have a dog menu. I would definitely bring my family, including pup, again.

Cute little place! We came last night for a drink and this morning for breakfast. Service was quick, drinks were well made, and the pancakes were excellent! We will visit again.

We had such a wonderful experience at Blue Lacy Restart thanks to GALUH, one of the best service staff we’ve ever met! From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect for us.
The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented — every dish looked and tasted amazing. Gaulap went above and beyond to check on us, offer suggestions, and make us feel truly valued as guests. His friendly attitude and professionalism made our visit so much more enjoyable.

The server was sweet, we ordered pancakes with butter and maple syrup, and avocado toasts. It was a good quantity and tasted good. I personally did not like the coffee, although she did serve it with milk on the side. It was a pretty cafe with a lot of cafes in the same area. It was located inside the origin hotel. The breakfast closes at 11am, which is better than other hotels who serve only until 9.30 or 10am.

If you haven’t been to this little gem in Austin yet, I highly recommend it. I stopped in while in the area for work, and was immediately planning my return after meeting Jim the bartender (he is the best!) was and having the Power bowl with chicken! Chef Gavin did such amazing job that I was thinking about this power bowl after the fact. I just went back a second time and had the Powerball with salmon, and it was amazing! The atmosphere is so chill and the decor is so modern and fun. Huge shout out to Gail, the manager, she was so sweet, friendly, and helpful, this is what a great restaurant is all about. Must try! I should’ve taken a picture of my Power bowl with salmon before I ate it, but here’s what it look like after a few bites!

Alejandra was such an attentive server. Very kind and received our order well. The food is really good and was nutritious while hearty! There was also another worker who came around and made my lemon water extra lemony, which was great for me.

Had dinner at Blue Lacy tonight and had a truly great experience. Thaw, my waiter, was friendly and attentive throughout the evening, making me feel well taken care of. The highlight of the night was the perfectly cooked steak by Chef Sonya flavorful, tender, and done just right. Compliments to the kitchen and the whole team. I’ll definitely be back!

3 1/2 stars for the food could’ve use a little seasoning kinda bland they forgot to take the egg off my burger but they made up for it…great service, cool cafe vibe atmosphere …you should give it a try…sorry forgot to take pictures of my burger
