From the time we walked in until the time we left, the staff was welcoming especially Erica! Our meal was well prepared with fresh ingredients. Our side salad was better than what we have had in other finer dining establishments, crisp cold and delicious. We even got a few tips on making a dish for our son. We will be back!! My wife and I decided to try a new restaurant and it turned out great! She got a steak skewer and I got a rice bowl with falafel. We both shared a appetizer of four dips with pita bread. We didn’t know all of them and the staff helped us out with the names of the foods. Everything was wonderful. The portions are huge so we will be taking lots home with us, yeah!

I can’t rave enough about this The Great Greek location in Maitland! Their chicken rivals any high end restaurant. Consistency is KEY and they have taken ownership of it.

After trying for a third time it’s now safe to say the Gyro is served cold. 3 times now. There is no warmth at all, it’s air-conditioning cold, the meat, the pita, all of it. This is for dine in eating, fresh from the kitchen, not to-go. What’s concerning is this indicates the meat is not being held at it’s proper temperature on the vertical rotisserie which is not only a health risk but also a health department food safety violation. It’s a shame because the portions are generous and the location is convenient. Management needs to stick a thermometer in the Gyro meat and they’ll see the problem.

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill was pretty great! My fiancé and I wanted to grab a light lunch after our pre-wedding photoshoot in Maitland and this establishment happened to be minutes away. It was also on my “must visit” list.
I’m glad we decided to have lunch at the great Greek because it was very good. The chicken gyro was tasty and over- stuffed. The gyro platter I ordered hit the spot too. The lamb was good and the gyro was stuffed as well. Everything tasted fresh. But what stole the show were the feta fries! They were excellent…and this is coming from someone who does not like loaded fries! It was perfect. The taste of garlic and parmesan with crispy fries, topped with mozzarella and feta sprinkled over everything was greatness

We are in town for a few weeks and stopped here for lunch today (1/31/26). There was a table of 6 and a table of 3 waiting for food. We ordered 2-gyro’s and an order of fries to go. We asked for an extra tzatziki sauce as well. The girl at the register did not seem to be well trained or engaged with us while placing our order. Just about 15-minutes later, we received our order. We know to check to-go orders before we leave, but did not, and when we got to the hotel, one gyro had no tzatziki sauce at all, and there was no extra sauce into the bag. There was a lot of meat on the gyro’s, but I cannot recommend eating one with no sauce.
If they plan on being successful, the cashier needs better training and told to leave her book in the car or read when customers are not waiting for their food.
We probably won’t be back on this trip.

Joined for a quick lunch and had a large Greek Salad and added chicken to it for $18. Salad was nothing exceptional. The grilled chicken was flavorful. No table service. Portion on the small side.
