Lemonade was not important all!
Worth coming back if I’m in the area but won’t drive here on purpose!
The single Shack Burger was very small but flavorful. Fries wasn’t crispy at all, a bit soggy! The lemonade was so so!
I did get my order very fast, unlike In & Out which takes forever and doesn’t taste as good!
I really expected something fantastic for $14 based on the photo I saw of the Truffle Mushroom Burger. This was my third trip to Shake Shack and my first non-chicken order.
The patty wasn’t hot and didn’t have crisp edges at all and was grossly under-seasoned. Bun was marginally stale, but it being toasted helped the texture. The truffle goo tasted good and there was so little of it on my burger that it didn’t make me taste much truffle bite after bite.
They need more than one water and ketchup dispenser. People were waiting in la decent line to get ketchup, napkins, and water.
Staff were lovely. Refilled my drink and checked on me. The restrooms were spotless.
Our order was simple enough: three burgers, fries, and a milkshake.
In spite of providing a phone number, name, and table number whilst placing our order on one of the tablets, our order was marked as to go, and we were kept waiting for upwards of 1 hour until this problem was noticed and fixed. When our food (remade) finally came out, some parts of my burger, like the bacon and the sauce were still stone cold.
Overall the food was okay, but due to glaring issues with the service, we won’t be coming back any time soon.
I placed the same order, and the woman helping me asked for my name like they do. I said “Bobby,” and she laughed and said, “We have the same name.” I wasn’t sure I heard her right at first, but we both ended up laughing about it. It was just a genuinely fun moment.
When it came time to tip, I joked, “Well now I’ve gotta give the biggest tip on the machine. Bobbys gotta stick together.” She laughed and thanked me, but made it a point to tell me that the tips go only to her team and not to her, since she’s a manager. That made it even better knowing it went straight to the people working so hard.
Unfortunately, the card still wouldn’t work. She tried another method, but no luck. I said it was no problem and pulled out my personal credit card. That’s when she said, “Don’t worry about it. I already comped your meal. I hate when stuff like that happens.”
I was honestly floored and tried to insist, but she wouldn’t have it. It was such a kind gesture and absolutely made my day. Great service, great people, and the food was delicious. Thanks, fellow Bobby, or maybe Bobbie. You guys rock.
I don’t rate five starts because there was not a lettuce “bun” option!
