I had an interview and decided to kill some time instead of driving all the way home and back to the location.
I stopped at the Starbucks in Madison on Main St.
Cafe very clean, ample space, quick service. Not too loud able to do computer work w no issues. I ordered only a coffee to pass time I wasn’t hungry but typically Starbucks food isn’t fabulous but edible. Maybe next time I’ll get something to eat but I prefer the coffees and espressos here. So nice Starbucks to just hang for a hour and change.

Went to get a tumbler and thought I was lucky enough to find a discount tumbler, the price was unbeatable but if you don’t have a system to calculate the discount rate to the exact amount then just price it with a % off of the original price. I would take it without making them redo the calculation. From what I understand is that if you price something for $14.95 it should just be $14.95x 6.625% tax…. But when you have to manually go and make bad math and I go back and ask and make you go through the calculations again and you say you have a system and say it’s ridiculous to me that you are only refund me a few cent and I said forget it and you still issue it and call it ridiculous!!! Makes me sound like a Karen when clear the math was not my problem! Sorry… but I now I have to double check my receipts every time I visit. There’s a system that discounts with a misleading number. Cause my calculations was a lot more than the cent refund. It’s not the matter of $$, the system was my complaint and the poor employee stated that I am ridiculous for his bad calculation because of their system.

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY—-male drive through worker, at approx 4:00 PM on Feb 5 2026—-I waited in the drive through line nearly 30 min just to get to the speaker and told ( by this worker) I wouldn’t be getting any any service. I literally couldn’t even leave as theres no way to get out of the line and around the cars to reach the exit, they literally TRAP YOU IN. We were all very literally STUCK for nearly 30 min up until the point I finally got to the speaker and camera). After seeing me upset on the camera, ( at this point I had not even said anything to them directly) – he asked me if I wanted to leave I could, and I replied to him I didnt want to just leave, as I had already been TRAPPED THERE for 30 min, this worker then proceeded to tell me they “refused to serve me”- for simply ansewring the question he ASKED ME. I didn’t yell, or cuss or anything of the sort. The service is ALWAYS bad at this location, as many of the reviews on here clearly agree I didnt get his name but it was a male drive through worker, at approx 4:00 PM on Feb 5 2026.- hope to god it wasn’t a manager because if so, he shouldn’t be one, or an employee at all for that matter- I agree with another review saying corporate needs to get involved at this location. its ALWAYS terrible for some reason.

Place is super cute, especially after they renovated it, but I had an issue with my drink and the staff was so mean I don’t really understand why. I was super nice and as someone who works in food service, if the issue is the fault of the staff there is no reason to take it out on the customer. Gave me an insane amount of attitude, told me I had no idea what I was talking about. I even showed her a picture of what I usually get (from other locations) and she told me that was what she had handed me (it most definitely was not). That experience alone makes me not want to go back. This is not the first time I’ve heard of people having issues at this location. I understand everyone has off days, but if I’m paying upwards of $8 for a drink and I’m nice to you because of a mistake you made, there is zero reason to be aggressive towards me. I’m hoping these issues are resolved, but in the meantime go to the Florham Park or Chatham locations instead.

This place is an abomination. You literally couldn’t have a more understaffed, underskilled, grotesquely inefficient setup. The employees here are always nice and friendly, but that does not make up for it and that is my default and baseline expectation. A simple cold brew takes 20+ minutes AFTER paying in store, to be served. I’ve now given them the benefit of the doubt over a dozen times, and literally there is no progressive improvement.
In my 20 minutes of waiting, I saw two customers come back in and ask for their drinks to be remade which sounds like a high error rate to me.
Corporate should come here and mystery shop. It’s an embarrassment.

Ordered a peppermint mocha to go and had received help sorting out my Starbucks app/gift card issue I had. The cashier was really helpful and patient as we worked out the issue. Drink was great and the store looked clean with plenty of seats.

Morris Twp, Madison Ave location:
Beautiful facility and I have been in here many times (long time Starbucks fan) always a pleasant experience, except for today when I witnessed something concerning that I saw taking place behind the counter.
Employee had placed stacks of cookies in plastic wrappers on the floor(ugh) while they were preparing to place them into an under the counter cabinet. Once cookies were moved from the floor into the cabinet, they took one of the cookies from the floor and unwrapped it on top of the counter, assuming they were going to warm it up.
This seems like a serious health violation and I’m hoping this will be addressed with some retraining asap. I’m not sure if I will be going back to this location again..:(
