The staff is pretty friendly, though at times felt rushed when they were serving us. We were seated right away 5pm on a Saturday, but I can see it getting busier and busier as the night went on.
The meat quality is good, not the best I’ve had, but overall good quality meats which is reflected in the premium pricing.
The banchan spread is good too, and with kbbq it includes a tofu soup and steamed egg. I’m normally not a fan of the potato salad, but this I enjoyed, The sweet corn made it stand out. The cucumbers were a refreshing sweet. Kimchi, japchae were all delicious. Not sure if we could’ve asked for more as we weren’t offered any more when they took our empty plates.
The beef brisket had a great amount of marbling, which was great. Wish the portion was larger though. Not sure if we should’ve just gotten the combo if the portions are the same. The pork brisket is a pass for us. Not bad by any means, but I’d get something else if we come back
The marinated short rib was probably my favorite dish. The perfect amount of marbling and marinaded well. Juicy and tender.
It was a nice meal overall. While I wouldn’t consider this place a must-try, especially with so many options at the Source, it’s a good place for a quality meal.
You’ll be given tools to cook your own meat. However, if you are not inclined to cook yourself, your server will cook the meat for you. This will free you up to focus on just eating.
The cuts of meat are very good and do have a premium feel. They also keep your sidedishes replenished.
I recommend.
Friend and I wanted to try several things, so we split the cold buckwheat noodles, seafood pancake, and galbi. I forgot to ask if they can cook the pancake extra crispy, but it was still good nevertheless. All the food we ordered were yummy. Definitely nice to be able to split with a friend to try more items!
Parking is very easy in the structure for the Source.
The dry-aged prime ribeye wasn’t worth $58.99. The marinated bone-in short rib was delicious and our toddler liked it a lot. We got complimentary seaweed soup which our toddler liked as well. I personally liked the side dishes that went well with the meat.
Their service needs improvements. Compared to other KBBQ places like Kanghodong and Quarters, they don’t have servers being responsible for certain tables. It’s hard to get the servers attention cause they are so busy.
