• CONVENIENCE:
Craving fresh and light tacos at 3pm on a rainy Tuesday, we almost gave up after searching on our phones in the parking lot for 15 minutes.
—- Turns out we were in the parking lot across from Chicano Boy Tacos, and it was EVERYTHING we wanted and more!
• WHAT WE ORDERED:
We got the lunch special with both vegan taco options and it was the best taco I’ve had since i left Bushwick, Brooklyn. We tried 5 salsas and they were all fresh and delicious. The Carrot Habanero salsa was my favorite! My bro liked the House Red Salsa best. The chips were flaky and crispy, the corn tortillas were soft, and the rice and beans were perfect in that cozy way of good comfort food without overindulgence. In addition to Margaritas, there is a modest but quality selection of beers, including a few light IPAS that paired very well.
• VIBE:
Good music, good air flow, & not cramped. They offer bench seats and chairs with sides. Everything was cooked to order in a nice and clean open kitchen, overseen by Frederick, who is nothing short of a delight, and obviously has a passion for making something delicious.
• SPECIAL REQUESTS?
When my bro asked for some greens, they chopped them up, perfect to dress the tacos, and gave him a whole big cup, so they are likely to accommodate whatever you need and then some.
• FINAL THOUGHTS:
10/10 – we will be regulars for sure.

The best tacos I’ve ever had. Legitimately. The customer service was also really great!
Its a bit more pricey than I’m used to, but inflation is real and the food is incredible. I couldn’t compare the quality to another if I tried.

Oh it’s incredible. The sides, the tacos, amazing. I ordered the chicken tacos and they came piled high with radishes, as they should be! The potatoes were crisp and flavorful, and the grilled corn was so creamy and tangy.
It’s a little pricey, but you get an exceptional meal out of it.

Review is solely due to the price and the amount of steak in my burrito. I got 1 burrito and a large fountain drink and it ran me $24 and some change.
That’s NUTS
The food was pretty good and it’s a good sized burrito but it was stuffed full of rice & beans and barely any steak. It’s a very clean place and visually appealing overall.
Worth trying? Sure.
Will I be back? Maybe for the lunch special, otherwise no.

I didn’t follow my advice that I usually give out to anyone asking if I know of any good Mexican taco place…first you walk inside… and if you don’t see any Mexicans (Hispanic peoples) eating there more then likely it’s gonna be hit or miss! LOL! I should have known better when I walked in they were playing slow jazz music made for a bistro or some dimly lit restaurant that has a wine list and candles. The decor was that of a Mexican restaurant with many tables, and traditional eagle from the tecate beer plastered on the wall with Beautiful mural of Hispanic maidens in Full bright colors on the wall…. I ordered one taco to test the culinary credentials and was found that I made the right choice at the wrong restaurant. The chorizo dry and under seasoned. Tasted like somone tried to make in house and had missed the mark. Was very lean and not charred or greasy like it’s supposed to be.yes I said greasy, that’s were the flavor is and anyone who has eaten chorizo knows what I’m saying. The salsa that came with it was over salted and too tangy to much garlic for my taste The bathroom were super clean and the restaurant it self was very clean also. The only reason i would ever come back would be because of Natalie, she was the server she was the host and she was the cashier all at once. She came back to check on me even though I ordered one taco and a glass of water, which I thought was nice. this is not your typical Mexican restaurant as a matter of fact, I would venture to say that this is not a Mexican restaurant at all, but a restaurant that serves there own version of food with a lite sprinkle of Mexican spices. I see in the reviews that many people like it and I see in the reviews that some people don’t. I said myself I will be back because of the service and I will try again. Just discovered this place and plan to be a regular visitor. Food is excellent, got the $13 taco lunch combo. Love the thin chips with queso. Atmosphere and service is also very pleasant. You’ll love it too.

Really loving these new margaritas they’re wonderful. I think I found my new happy hour spot.! On another note, I always enjoy my food there, but I stopped in today and I’m a quirky eater so if I didn’t get my tomatillo sauce and I’m looking at my receipt like I requested, I got guac and the queso but none of the green tomatillo sauce I’m not a big fan of guac. I work too far away to return With my food to get the tomatillo so I suffered through it, but I just wanna let you know, please verify the order is correct next time because I really do enjoy you guys. By the way, I did call the young lady said she passed it on

Soooo yummy! This was our first time eating here and it was so good. I got the shrimp, beef and chicken flour tacos. Perfect flavor, and the green salsa was awesome, too. We also loved the Chicano taters, super delicious. We will definitely be back!

First visit January, second in June…left completely satisfied both visits. Not sure how long they’ve been open but definitely disappointed I didn’t know about it sooner as it’s not far from me at all!
I love queso con chorizo and the consistency of theirs is perfect and it is enough to share. The burritos here are probably my favorite because they are so filling but the pork carnitas was by far the best. It was moist and flavorful but because my bf ordered that our visit I opted for the tacos. Those were also delicious but I think the chicken taco was my favorite of the 3; no qualms about the others though.
Our second visit was for lunch and we had the lunch deals and shared chips and queso again. I opted for the chicken burrito and wasn’t disappointed as it was the same size as the non lunch portion. Each time we left stuffed and had some food left so it’s definitely worth it. Service was pleasant and quick on both visits and they do to go ordering also!

The tacos were incredible. Interesting flavors without being super wild, and for a good price. I tried the pork belly taco, the sweet potato and black bean taco, and the squash taco and they were all 10/10. My husband had a rice bowl and he said his was excellent as well. Can’t wait to come back! (Photo is from a second trip back – pork belly, shrimp, and chorizo). Have been back several times since my original review, and it gets better every time. The grilled corn is out of this world! The second photo is the corn, the pork belly taco and the sweet potato/black bean taco, my favorite combo on the menu.
