Asheville Club – joe coffee
Reviews
They make a fantastic espresso martini at a great price , a great portion and the fresh espresso makes it truly amazing . I found it quite delightful , and the space is hip but rustic and inviting , cool relaxing music, has outdoor seating , located on the corner of a busy intersection so great for people watching and they do events in plaza across the street. My pooch was welcome and treated like family which made it even more spectacular . Thank you Thomas and Macy for such a wonderful experience. Excellent hospitality and service ! Both were excellent at delivering true hospitality and a quality product that led to a memorable experience.
They also do some really great smelling coffee too for any friend of bill w out there still into the casual bar scene!
The bar tender was welcoming and made the drinks to perfection. Loved my taramsu martini. My man got a hibiscus lavender ginger cider and it was delightful.
Great little spot to stop in while enjoying downtown of Asheville, NC
However, the service was a bit aggressive. It’s always packed in there because it’s a small establishment and typically you have to stand due to limited seating. We’ve been numerous times and have had no issue standing but today we were asked to please find a seat… we looked around and unfortunately there was no seating, so we walked outside in the 25 degree weather to stand at a table. I usually would not be upset, but the frustrating part was that we were standing on the unused side of the bar, not in the way enjoying the drinks we paid for quickly (spent about 5 min standing there along with others also without seating) and were asked to go sit while tables were being occupied by people with empty glasses, making no moves to get more drinks.
If you’re going to have the audacity to ask people to find a seat when there are none, then please have the audacity to ask people sitting, not drinking, to please buy a drink or leave.
We’re locals who have been here and recommended this places for years, but I won’t be back.
