Is dog friendly but no heated patio our daughters tried to get a table outside (30 degrees) they laughed but we were on vacation mode used to the warmth. The dogs stayed in the car. Small lunch menu but I was a fan of most their burger looked so good online I had to try.my girl a salad, my daughter a salad. Double check with kids if they know what an anchovy is I laughed so hard at her expression! She claims she thought they said artichoke either way hilarious. Food was great drinks were good. Great location

I liked every thing I had here. I could eat 5 orders of the fries. Steak was surprisingly tasty despite this not being a steakhouse. I wasn’t expecting caviar chicken nuggets on the menu, but they did it. I’d come back and try the burger.

Great atmosphere and service. The brussel sprouts were ridiculously good, and I legit do not like them normally. The fries were delicious. The burger was good. I think what kept it from being great was the bun. It had the texture of an Aldi’s brioche bun. Drinks were a bit too funky for my taste.

Bougie. Dill wings starter (15 for 6)was very good. High Low and in between (Old Fashion – 15) CFD Burger was good. Salad was OK. Dressing wasn’t to my taste. Would try Ceasar instead. Beware, they charge a 3% restaurant fee.

While visiting Des Moines from Omaha to spend time with family, we decided to have dinner at Clyde’s Fine Diner, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish.
If you are looking for a great dinner restaurant in Des Moines with strong service, quality food, and a comfortable atmosphere, this place absolutely delivers. Parking is off the street and paid, which is convenient and easy to access in the downtown area.
From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The restaurant was very clean, comfortable, and set at the perfect temperature. One unique touch that really stood out was that they play music on a record machine inside, which gives the space a cool, classic vibe and adds character to the dining experience.
For dinner, I ordered the scallops, and they were outstanding. Cooked perfectly, flavorful, and definitely worth the price. My wife had the lasagna and really enjoyed it as well. No complaints from anyone at our table. We also ordered two oysters, an Old Fashioned, and a beer. For two entrées, appetizers, and drinks, our total was $92 before tip, which felt very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.
If you are in Des Moines and searching for a fine dining restaurant with great seafood, Italian options, good cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere, Clyde’s Fine Diner is a solid choice. We would absolutely recommend it for a relaxed family dinner or a night out with friends.

Stopped in tonight for my second visit in 3 years. The last time I was here I had brunch with my girlfriends. Tonight, my husband and I enjoyed dinner together. Service is always excellent whether you’re seated at a table or at the bar. The food is fantastic! I am seriously impressed with their ability to combine flavors. The food is always hot when it’s supposed to be. I haven’t had anything over or under-cooked here. Tonight, we had the Duck Croquettes, Pot Roast Sandwich, and a burger. Highly recommend all 3, especially the Pot Roast Sandwich! The meat was so tender and full of flavor, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the caramelized onions and crispy bread just brought it all together. Yum! You can’t go wrong with any of their brunch items, either! The restaurant is beautifully designed. Definitely check it out!

Clyde’s is a solid selection for an elevated yet casual dining experience. Located just off of downtown Des Moines, Clyde’s provides patrons with a range of small bite, shareable and entre options.
Integrating local flavors and ingredients into dishes across the menu, Clyde’s doesn’t shy away from unique twists on familiar items.
During my visit I tried the dill pickle wings, BBQ chicken, brussel sprouts and tomatoes. While dinner was fine, Clyde’s seems even more suited for a easy brunch and lunch.

Clyde’s is an absolutely fabulous restaurant with a great vibe, spectacular food and fantastic staff. Chef/owner Chris has nailed the menu, his staff are all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu (ask about the process they go through for the best French fries you’ll ever have) and the vinyl collection sets the mood perfectly!Food, atmosphere and staff….best place in Des Moines by a mile.

The burger tastes the way you remember the McDonald’s cheeseburger tasting after basketball camp; It’s the Platonic ideal of a burger. Is it the best burger you’ve ever had? Probably not. Nothing remarkable about it. Soft bun, crunchy onion, good beef patty. But one bite and suddenly you’re 12 years old in the backseat of a Buick that still smells like cigarettes, the babysitter has the radio turned all the way up, and there’s a decent prize in the Happy Meal. That’s how good this burger is.
