Located at the entrance to the Hill Country in Driftwood, Texas, Whiskey Ridge serves elevated home-style offerings featuring Texas meat and fresh Gulf Coast Seafood cooked over our coal fire grill. At the heart of the restaurant, our bar will spotlight hand-selected whiskeys as well as craft cocktails. We hope you’ll join us on the wrap-around porch for a drink, take in the scenic Hill Country views, and enjoy some Texas-style hospitality.

First time there. Surprised by the expense. Food was delicious, service was good. We had sides of cole slaw and a corn and spinach dish which we barely tasted since we had an appetizer in addition to our entree and were full. We asked to take the sides home. The wait person packed it up for us but when we got home and took the containers out of the sack, he barely gave us a third of the leftovers, which we paid for. The leftovers would have easily fit in a large container like the one sitting next to the small ones that we received (see pictures).

First timers. The feel was as if there is an identity crisis. Restaurant is very loud! Upscale Country restaurant meets country modern industrial sports bar. Outdoor seating is nice and another area with picnic tables.?? Initially we felt rushed. Hurry up order drinks, order apps. Apps come and still no drinks. A little bit of chaos. Food runners have no clue who has what entree. Filets were same size but ordered different ounces. Never asked if they were prepared as medium. One was, one wasnt.
Manager and server Joel made it right. Very generous and understanding of our concerns.
Filet was very tender and flavorful but pricey.
Oysters were small but tasty. Shrimp were large and delicious. The horseradish was kickin.
Always with steak, a bake potato option would be good.
Great variety of wines, cocktails and whiskey.
Bonus desert was yummy chocolate brownie with ice cream.
Definitely will go back and give it another shot mainly because the manager and server were very accommodating.

Absolutely next level – the best meal & evening we’ve had in recent memory. Steak is mouthwateringly delicious, tuna steak was perfect, salad, drinks & space are perfection as well. Chris was our server on the patio tonight, he is excellent. The Autumn landscaping is beautiful & fireplaces are wonderful. Highest recommendation.

Outstanding food and service. Went for a birthday dinner. Taylor was our server and she was fabulous. Happy hour specials if you go early- even at the tables and not just at the bar. Has the burger and fries and an apple-Blueberry cobbler. I would highly recommend!! ❤️

This has superb food, amazing hamburgers and atmosphere. So many quaint, cute picturesque spots, everywhere you look. I was absolutely fascinated by this angel wing bottle they served water in, gorgeous.

We came here for my sister’s wedding reception, and the experience was truly unforgettable. Brian and Makaylee took exceptional care of us from start to finish and made the entire evening run smoothly. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the level of service was unmatched.
We want to give a special thank you and kudos to Brian and Makaylee for going above and beyond. They were attentive, helpful during setup, and genuinely made our family feel welcomed and cared for throughout the night. Their professionalism and kindness helped make such an important day absolutely perfect.
Thank you to Whiskey Ridge and the entire staff for creating such a memorable and exceptional experience. We highly recommend this venue.

We first visited Whiskey Ridge on Mother’s Day for their AYCE Brunch buffet for only $28.95. This was apparently their second time putting it on and WOW you never would have known! AYCE brunch can be challenging to put on, but they did such an incredible job keeping the food stocked and hot, PLUS the variety and quality of all their dishes they make was next level! From their shrimp and grits, chicken dumplings, crispy fried chicken and biscuits, house made Chorizo, fluffy brioche cinnamon rolls, nacho and yogurt bar the options were ENDLESS. Our server Melanie was super attentive and kind making sure waters were filled and drinks were flowing.
After experiencing brunch we had to go back for dinner and happy hour and the theme of incredible food, service, and southern hospitality continued with our server Sydney. They have specials like $9 1/2 dozen gulf oysters, $10 calamari, stuffed avocado and others apps along with great drink specials like $5 frozen margaritas (which are strong), $4 16oz Karbach draft beers. While the deviled eggs topped with crispy fried oysters weren’t on happy hour, they are a NEED in your life!!
We stayed for dinner and dessert and still… WOW! They have a 10oz chicken fried ribeye topped with their gravy that they make from their short rib drippings. We’re already eyeballing what to get next time we go! They have a rotating cobbler which was also phenomenal! We had an Apple strawberry one and loved the chew on the apples perfectly spiced and topped with a double churn ice cream which apparently helps the ice cream last longer (aka doesn’t melt as quick)
We honestly loved them so much we want to move closer so we can be regulars! If you haven’t checked them out they are 1000000% worth the drive and calories!

I was invited to this Whiskey Ridge for a birthday party for a good friend. There were quite a lot of us, probably around 15 or so. You would have thought it would take a lot of time to provide service for us but the opposite was true. We received very quick and accurate service.
The food was exceptionally good! The kitchen must practice magic because the door was original, fried oyster and bacon on a deviled egg? Who would have thought of that? It was fantastic how it all worked together! My wood charbroiled hamburger was perfect in smoke and flavor! My son’s Weigu hamburger was so light and tender it totally surprised me. The best thing of the night was my Frozen Old Fashion! I was skeptical at first but by my third I was sold! I will undoubtedly go again, hopefully soon!

To be fair, this is a review for Sunday afternoon and not during their regular serving hours. The regular serving hours might offer a different experience. On Sundays, they force you to choose the Sunday brunch until 2pm. So if you are heading over after 1pm and looking for a good lunch, you are basically stuck with a crap breakfast menu that they call brunch. It is also $30 a person for this crap brunch – which comes to $72 for two people after taxes. Now I can understand why someone would have a crap brunch, considering that most church goers would show up after their mass and can be some of the worst customers – I can see why they would have a serve yourself brunch. They likely aren’t going to tip or tip much anyways. Why is this brunch less than stellar? The food was all dry as if it has been sitting out all morning and over salted. They provided what they called a cream gravy which was a brown gravy, that was hyper sugared and over peppered, leading to an incredibly weird flavor and aftertaste. Once you add the cost in, you are getting 1 star food for 3/4 star prices. The server was at least nice and did offer the lunch menu when management allowed, but that was only after we had our appetites ruined by eating their brunch buffet. I suspect all of the glowing reviews are more for the regular menu, as I can’t understand rating their brunch above 2 stars. We came here to try the Wagyu burgers and left completely disappointed and not wanting to come back again.
