Out first time visiting was 9/20/25. You walk in and there is an extremely pungent unpleasant sewage smell (not raw, fresh fish SEWAGE). The servers noticed we were unpleased with is and offered to seat us closer to the registers where the kitchen smells help tone the smell down just a bit and the serves said they believe it was a plumbing issue. The servers were so nice about it that we decided to stay and give it a try. We ordered 4 rolls (over $15 plus each) and we were truly impressed. The presentation was beautiful (on a cool wooden boat), the rolls where delicious, tucked and rolled to perfection, so although the environment and smell was deadly the sushi made it tolerable (for as long as we could, because we couldn’t take it for too long and ended up taking the rest to go)! We decided to give it another shot being that it was a plumbing issue we were hoping it would be fixed by now…. we returned on 10/4/25 and the smell Horrendous again, we sat in the back table again and ordered the exact same thing… but it WAS NOT MADE THE SAME. The presentation was trash they were brought in a small platter with not the same topping sauces, and This time it was DISGUSTING. The Rolls were crumbling apart and they did not taste good at all, something was definitely not fresh as my stomach didn’t tolerate it (not me or my family 2 adults, a teenager and 3 kids) that sushi had us all in/out of our bathrooms all night… it made our bathrooms smells just as bad as the sewage smell in their restaurant . In my opinion it had to be a different chef, although the girls (the servers), believed that it was the same one, I just couldn’t believe it. The servers by the way are absolutely the sweetest people ever, I feel so bad for them having to smell that sewage smell all shifts! I’ve never had such nasty sushi in my life. I hope the owners could take this experience and change the sushi chef!!! Also just a recommendation but when people are spending $75-100 on your menu, your chef/owner/manager should come out and say hello to their customers and get feedback and ask how everything was, specially knowing that your restaurant smells like excrement and feces! I’ll include pictures of both visits, as the pictures alone show the difference. To the owner: do better! Get your plumbing fixed make it pleasant, get an actual sushi chef Cause the sushi with this last chef was TRASH and give your servers a raise because most of us wouldn’t have giving you one chance with such a foul smell, let alone two chances if it wasn’t for how kind they were (period) .

Not worth my money.

I have been here probably 7 times over the past few years since they opened. A few years ago, I would have rated it 4-stars. However, it is now 3-stars which is not worth my money anymore.

As for the Food, it is “Good”. However, the quantity to quality to price are not favorable. The prices are high for small portions. As others have stated, the sushi is small. For the price of their Chicken Katsu, I know two other locations where I can get twice as much for similar quality. The Hibachi and Teriyaki sauces are so sugary and thick like syrup. It reminds me of Chinese Food. I am sure that their Miso Soup is microwaved. The last time that I was there the table next to me ordered 3 Miso Soups, and I overheard one of them say that hers was ice cold while the others were steaming. This is clearly a sign that they forgot to microwave one of them. Also, I have ordered to-go twice and both times the portions were smaller.

The Service I have received over the years has been average at best. Some servers are good, others not so much.

The Atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. It has always been pretty clean when I go in there.

Overall, I can no longer recommend Arashi Sushi Hibachi & Grill to others. There are better options around town.

Nice tranquil place I’ve been eating here probably 2 or 3 times a month. Easily the best sushi around. Price is on the lower end compared to Colorado springs sushi places. But the quality is well above the rest.. and yes I’ve eaten at all of them most have an over powered fish smell, the ones that don’t seem like they charge way to much for decent sushi. The staff is great, it was a slow start when they first opened but they have come into a great staff with amazing dishes.

It was a bit disappointing that the food took a while to come out, but the place was really busy, so it made sense. What really stood out was our waitress , she was incredibly friendly and kept checking in on us, making sure we were doing okay the whole time. I noticed she spoke another language and asked about it, and she told me she was Korean. I was honestly impressed by how kind she was and how strong her English was.

It looked like she was handling the whole floor by herself, which couldn’t have been easy, but she never showed any stress and stayed positive the entire time. That really made the experience better for us. I’ll definitely be coming back and would love to have her as my server again.

Also, the yakisoba was amazing. Next time I come, I’m ordering the beef yakisoba my mom had because it looked so good. Now I totally understand why the place was so busy. I’ll definitely be back. ⭐️

The food was great! The waitress and her service was amazing. She was very friendly and helpful. We did notice she was the only one working besides the people making the food. Which seemed rough for only her because there was quite a few people in the restaurant. The man making the sushi was very rude. Not sure if he is the owner or not. But he was arguing with her the whole time we were in there. When she taking our order he got upset that she didn’t stop and help the person that walked in. I felt very sorry for her. He was rude and not nice. He shouldn’t treat his workers that way especially in front of customers. I will definitely not be going back to this place. Hopefully that waitress gets out of there and finds a job where she’s treated better.

Delicious & adorable!
Ordered the dragon roll & not only did it taste amazing it came with the cutest face on it l. Such a fun touch! You can tell they put a lot of care into both the food and presentation. Will definitely be coming back for more!

I just started eating at Arashi about a month ago. I’ve already been back 4 times. Hands down the best sushi spot in southern Colorado. I’m obsessed with the hibachi combination fried rice, fried crab, shrimp tempura and volcano sushi rolls. I’ve done several TikTok videos on this restaurant. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Definitely worth checking out

We arrived and were told to sit anywhere, but no one brought menus. When we were finally ready we had to flag down the server to order, then waited about 2 hours for our food while the staff kept prioritizing nonstop to‑go orders over diners. Our server never checked in, refilled our water, or apologized for the delay—we had to ask for everything. Food was just okay, but the service was terrible.
