For $15, this was about the best take-out plate we could have picked up anywhere on a random afternoon.
We ate from this stand at FQ Fest and sought them out afterwards, just to have these tuna and crab nachos again. The freshness and cold temp of the seafood is outstanding, and the portion was very generous today.
(The guy at the counter was super nice as well, in a genuine kind-of-way. That did not go unnoticed!)
Excellent experience— especially for a no-frills, unassuming, neighborhood joint. Really good bang for the buck. Two can easily share.

Honestly as soon as you walk in it smells so good. Nachos are a 11 out of 10, bang bang shrimp taco was okay I give it a six out of 10 in my opinion that once I go wasn’t worth $8. The hibachi steak and shrimp was delicious I give it at 8 out of 10 definitely could use more flavor maybe more garlic but pour some of that yellow sauce on it and it’ll add a little flavorbut definitely worth the price. Service was smooth easy and the music was great definitely will be back to try other menu items.

The Bang Bang Shrimp Sushi Tacos were superb—the sauce is so addictive I’d almost come back just for that! Unfortunately, the rest of the $80 meal fell flat. The rice was clumpy, the chicken was chewy, and the plates felt like they’d been sitting out for hours. To top it off, the subpar service and an unleashed dog roaming the restaurant were major turnoffs. Great tacos, but a disappointing experience.

Hibachi Grill Express (400 S. Broad, NOLA) caught me completely off guard—in the best way.
I was checking another spot off my NOLA bucket list when I rolled up to what looked like a modest, almost Chinese takeout–style spot. It didn’t take long to realize this place was anything but ordinary.
The menu is simple and easy to navigate, yet still offers real range—from seafood to lamb chops. What really stood out, though, was how smoothly everything ran. Service was quick, attentive, and genuinely friendly, and the space itself is clean and uncomplicated, letting the food do the talking. 100% wheelchair accessible!
I followed the recommendation of an Instagram influencer and ordered the lamb chops with hibachi rice. Absolutely delicious—flavorful, satisfying, and worth every bite.
By the time I finished, the online buzz finally made sense. The praise is well earned.

I got exposed to them during french quarter fest and been looking for them every since. I finally made it. Although, they were out of tacos, the nachos were my choice and they served.
For the cost, you get good, fresh portions.
I love what they stand for – delicious, creative eats

Delicious food all around. Somewhat difficult to park and a little on the high end depending on what you get. You’ll most likely spend around $10-$20 for just one item and a drink like a sushi taco and a drink or a hibachi plate. I would say it is worth it as there are even special hibachi plates to choose from such as oxtail and teriyaki lamb chops. I’ll probably get that the next time I come as I wanted the sushi taco sampler: you can choose up to three ($25) and the Hibachi combo plate steak and chicken ($24). There’s a couple of tables for inside dining. Come and try their sushi tacos for $10.

Love this place! Perfect for grabbing some hibachi To-Go at an affordable price. If something isn’t right they will fix it and actually consider your feedback. I hope they continue to deliver consistent taste, quality and service! Would definitely recommend

Made a review in 2025 about how impressed I was with the quality and taste of the numerous items I’ve tried on the menu and I am sad to say that my favorite plate has gone from a 10/10 to non-edible in a matter of months. Ordered the Hibachi Salmon and it was Absolutely unacceptable and almost instantly made me sick.Took a small bite on the way home and was like wow this is salty and tastes funny closed the plate and within minutes I was praying for a red light and threw it up. You would have thought I was pregnant the way it instantly tore my stomach up. I can taste and see the cross contamination of chicken grease residue on the fishiest piece of salmon I have had since the opening. I smelled the fish when I got home and it smelled like it was sitting out all day, the rice and noodles were so dry and full of garlic salt and the broccoli definitely tastes nothing like it used to. I am highly disappointed

The bang bang shrimp sushi taco was the star of the show!!!! 10/10. The salmon sushi taco 8/10 just cause the salmon was a lil over cooked. I was a lil upset cause there was no oxtail and thats the main reason I went, it was 11am and was told they didn’t already have any ♀️ and they mainly do other on Mondays (which I think should be in the advertising). The soft shell crab sushi taco was disgusting 0/10… The lamb chops were good but needed just a lil more seasoning.

The first time I went I ate in, the staff was so chill and cool. The oxtail were absolutely amazing. And then ordered through Uber Eats on New Year’s Day and had 4 different plates for a house of recovering NYE party goers. Everyone loves everything so much I became a legend that day for ordering from here. Can’t wait to come back!
