First time here and I will definitely be back. I had the bbq and Brunswick stew and it was truly outstanding. Also the sauces (hot and mild) were equally fantastic. The staff were exceptionally nice and the restaurant was very clean. They have a drive thru window and plenty of space to eat inside, and plenty of parking. If you’re in this area at all do not pass this place up. I was told by the staff here at the campground that her banana pudding was just as good as the bbq.

First time trying this BBQ place and it was good. The Brunswick stew is perfect for my wife’s taste, she doesn’t care for spicy stew or meat. Prices are in line with the Washington food market. So it’s a good place to try. They have done in and friendly. I will be going back.

Out of the way excellent bbq. I am a hunter and found it riding around. The food and service is more than acceptable it was a southern hospitality with a smile. Amazing staff/owners who want to make sure your experience is a highlight of your day. I have been there two times and both visits were a highlight of my day. Definitely going again when in the area.

Great pulled pork and I absolutely love their slaw, I’ve never liked slaw till eating theirs. I asked how they made it. I was told, “it’s made with love.” I believe it. Customer service, impeccable. When you see those barrel grills smoking, you know it’s going to be good bbq.

I saw a post by Monique Williams TV. Oakwood BBQ. Sanita and I decided to ride over and check it out. The food is OFF THE CHAIN!!! The service and servers was family making. Oakwood BBQ in a little town called Sharon, GA. Six miles from Crawfordville, GA. Fifteen or 20 miles west of Thomson. One hour from Augusta off I-20. Go in! Ask for the Oakwood Sample Plate. 3 meats and 2 sides. The stew was wow! The cole slaw was made from scratch. BBQ, ribs, chicken. Going back for the Roger Woods sausage dogs next time. Couple time and treat!!!

Best BBQ in town!! Ribs, chicken, stew, trust me you won’t find anything better. I been waiting on them to open for so long and now I literally can’t get enough of them! Great atmosphere in the small town of Sharon, Ga. Oakwood BBQ sits in the heart of Sharon at the crossroads. Great family atmosphere, great bunch of folks. They want to make sure you are happy and well fed. You in the area you need to check this place out, a great bunch of people. Thursday – Saturday. Drive thru service with a smile.

Young lady at the window it was extremely friendly hit you with the upsell without being pushy.
Now to the food which is why we’re here. Family of four we purchased a sausage dog, pound of meat, pint of stew, and a few banana puddings. The banana pudding is tasty. No it’s not somebody’s grandmother’s secret recipe but it is still good. The sausage dog is not in-house made; that’s what I like when I go to a barbecue spot. It is however a tasty regional brand that I recognize immediately. Pretty sure everyone around here is going to love it. The meat very moist very tender could use a little more seasoning for my taste. Now to the stew. I saved the best for last. I have been tasting stew from this area for over 50 years. I have helped to make innumerable batches myself. Other than my grandfather’s stew this is probably the best stew I’ve had. As long as they don’t change the recipe, the stew alone will keep me coming back.
