We had a really enjoyable meal overall. The Papa a la Huancaína was very good, creamy, well-seasoned, and a great way to start the meal. For the main courses, we ordered the chaufa with mixed seafood and the skirt steak with chaufa and French fries. The portions were perfect and satisfying, and everything was cooked well. The seafood chaufa had good flavor, and the skirt steak paired nicely with the rice and fries. While there’s still a little room to elevate the flavors to the next level, the food was solid and enjoyable, and we’d definitely come back again.

Had a great experience at Llama House in Englewood. The space is modern and cozy, and the food was very well executed.

The three-color causa was a beautiful start, the mixed ceviche was fresh and vibrant, and the choros a la chalaca had a perfect balance between sea flavor and acidity.

The tallarín chifa was my favorite — perfectly stir-fried with chicken and vegetables. Highly recommend trying it.

Definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for Peruvian food in Bergen County.

We were lucky enough to find this fairly new Peruvian restaurant; only open about a month at the time of his write-up. It looked like a small place but is a bit deceiving a lot more room than what you would think. And it is very nice. (Sorry for the weak word; NICE), but check out the photos and add the word there that best fits. Now to the (food) of it. The meal we have was great. I was truly impressed. The soup we had was perfectly seasoned, and the mixed rice had a homemade taste that was real. The last dish we had was the seafood “Jalea,” which was breaded and fried to perfection. If you are in the mood for something a bit different, then you must try LLAMA HOUSE.

I visited Llama House in Englewood, NJ, and had a wonderful experience. The Peruvian food was absolutely delicious—full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Every dish truly reflected authentic Peruvian cuisine.

Our waitress, Marisella, was amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout the entire meal. Her great service really elevated the experience.

I highly recommend Llama House if you’re looking for excellent Peruvian food and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

You have to try this place right now!
My husband and I were looking for a good Peruvian restaurant and stumbled upon Llama House. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away the decor is absolutely beautiful, and the vibrant colors instantly brought back memories of Peru.

The service was excellent from the very beginning. We ordered a leche de tigre100/10, arroz con mariscos 10/10, and a quarter of pollo a la brasa with fries and chaufa rice also 10/10 And the ají Hands down, one of the best we’ve had in the U.S.

We highly, highly recommend this place! And please, do yourself a favor and get the alfajores for dessert they’re incredible.

We’ve definitely found our new go-to Peruvian spot!

We tried Llama House in Englewood, NJ. The place was huge and very clean. The canchas (roasted appetizer corn) were on point and not burnt. The waitress was ok but not overly warm and friendly. She brought out the menus but did not contribute the Special Lunch Menu for the day, until we requested it. We got the fried fish and the chicken. I thought the waitress said “rotisserie chicken “ but when the food came out, it was some type of very crispy fried chicken. The chicken tasted fine, but not what I wanted. The salad was salty and too vinagre. Other than that, the food was good. We go to another Peruvian Restaurant where the rice always comes out with some type of legumes and at times ceviche is on the Special of the Day Menu. We were never asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. The restaurant only had 3 tables occupied including us, then we were the only customers there towards the end. The waitress became a little more interested when I started taking pictures for this review and I told her that I was writing a review for the restaurant. Overall, it was okay but we’ll go elsewhere for Peruvian cuisine.

I Loved the decor and the music. My family ordered “LA CAUSA DE LA ABUELA”…it was delish, but the service was horrible. “CHOROS A LA CHALACA” was good. “CEVICHE” it was pretty good. “ANTICUCHOS” was good, but needed hot sauce on the side. I ordered “JAVICHE”…not what I expected for a $35 dish. The ceviche had no salt. Jalea was ok, but…but Cebolla Criolla had NO FLAVOR! So my Jalea tasted dry. I asked the waiter for hot sauce for flavor…waiter brought it after I was almost finished with my meal. Hot sauce was not even spicy and tasted more like mayonnaise. This place can get better if they pay attention to customers concerns. I have high hopes for The Llama House. Chef cooks good just needs to pay more attention to some details.
