Absolutely the worst sushi I’ve had in the Bay Area. The tamago was frozen and then melting on the inside. The fish tasted very fishy and not fresh at all. When I mentioned it, the Chinese waitress raised her voice at me and said she couldn’t take it off the bill. Another staff member eventually removed it, but there was no apology.
The quality felt like grocery-store sushi. I have no idea why people come here. I would never return.

Good lunch spot. Food was unexpectedly very good and well presented. The server probably needed a nap…. I would come again or avail yourself of take out. It appears as many people do.

This is a nice little sushi place on University in Palo Alto downtown. They have special lunch combos with 2 or 3 entrees which are great value for money. I got the lunch combo with 2 entrees – salmon with soy sauce and sashimi (5 pieces – 3 tuna and 2 salmon). All lunch combos come with a side of miso soup, 5 pieces of California sushi rolls and a side of rice. The lunch was scrumptious and service was quick and friendly. The place has a casual dining vibe – not as upscale when compared to some other sushi joints in the area. Recommend this place to grab a quick lunch if you’re in the area.

Ordered the Dinner combo which consists of soup, salad, and two items of choice. I opted for Hamachi Avocado roll and Salmon Avocado roll. Also got a Baby Octapus Kara-ag appetizer. This is a good amount for one person, or split with two people with small appetites. The soup and salad were nice small portions to start with, warm and umami soup and light but sweet dressing on the salad. The Hamachi avocado roll was pretty decent and the Salmon avocado roll were very bite size portions, pretty good on flavor. The Baby Octapus Kara-ag was also really nice and chewy. Ultimately, a decent spot to satisfy a simple sushi craving. Place does get quite busy in the evenings so there may be a wait for seating. Service was pretty swift when we needed them. And general ambiance is very busy, chattering, and warm.

It’s sushi. No major dish flavors or flavors in general. There is lots of sushi competition around the neighborhood, I personally would look elsewhere to find sushi that is a little higher quality.

Spicy tuna roll is not that spice and not that good but the avocado tuna roll was great.
Sashimi is good I loved it

We came here to eat last week., food was ok, but service was really slow and the waitresses were not so friendly.
Couple days later, the charge showed up on my statement, the Waitress had added unauthorized charges to the transaction, at least 20% more. This is not only illegal but also unacceptable. Luckily I kept my receipt, I had reported the merchant and the incident to my bank and to the BBB. With this kind of dishonest behavior, you can be sure we will never be back!!

The service and the attitude of the servers were really bad. The bottle of regular soy sauce was almost empty and i asked for a new bottle. The female server said “it is a salty soy sauce and it is not enough for you”. That is a very attitude feedback. Then when food came out, i asked for more wasabi, the male server said “thaymich of wasabi is not enough for you”. He pointed at my friend dish and said “use it from his dish then”. Thats is very impolite response and bad attitude. He told me to take food from my friend’s dish. Food is not that great. I won’t come back here.

The service and food was really great! The owner took our orders on hand written scrap paper, and he poured our sake so nicely! It was a nice feeling of a locally owned restaurant. The only issue was cleanliness, as there were flies flying around the dining area.
