A few small suggestions as feedback: it would be great to see some vegetarian pasta options added. All the appetizers leaned on sweetness, which wasn’t quite our preference—having a few truly savory starters would be nice. Some chocolate-based dessert options would also be a welcome addition.
Overall, this is easily one of the best pizza spots around!

Last week a friend and I shared a Benchmark Pizza with Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Meatball Pizza with Tomato, Mozzarella, Grana, Meatballs, Parsley.
Perfect is the only way to describe the crust. Crunchy, chewy, smoky and flavorful. It stood up just fine to the sauce and toppings.
The Meatball Pizza was my favorite. Super tasty meatballs that complimented the sauce and cheese. I’ll take two next time.
The place is popular so Matt suggests you go early.
I can hardly wait to go back
Benchmark punches well above its weight. Behind the unassuming decor is an A+ kitchen.
The burnt sage pizza and the sausage and mushroom pizza were both delicious. The dough is soft and extra chewy, with just the right amount of char. The bolognese was also incredible. The flavors and mouthfeel were perfectly balanced.
I adore a bread pudding, but am often disappointed by them. Not the case here, where the generous portion was soft, dense, and not too syrupy.
I was skeptical of why I would make my way up from Oakland to come to a pizzeria when there are dozens of others that are closer. I stand corrected.
