stopped at Bernie’s bar in Frankton, In today. 2 tenderloins (1 breaded, 1 grilled) with 2 sides (corn nuggets, tater tots,) for under $20, pre-tip. these were solid tenderloins with a good breading to pork ratio. just the way I like them slightly bigger than the bun. though slightly under seasoned. tots slightly under fried. but the corn nuggets were delicious and addicting. the place allows smoking and is very smoky so we got carry out. kudos for using no Styrofoam or plastic in the carryout order.

Good food. Got the breaded tenderlion with tots. The chicken fingers looked good and I hear they have a good burger too. I would recommend ordering it. The only thing I didn’t like was that it’s a smoking establishment. It wasn’t busy on a Sunday afternoon, so it wasn’t bad.

First off, try and find a better deal on food literally anywhere. I couldn’t believe the amount I got for what I paid and it was a to go order.

The best part, it was good. It’s no frills, but more than what you pay for IMO. You could easily charge me another $25 and I wouldn’t have even batted an eye. Nobody is going to go hungry here, that’s for certain!
The place itself has character. I wasn’t there long, but there’s a lot of things to see. You can tell it’s been there a long time and there’s some stories to tell. The room was full, if was Friday, and I was asked what I’d like within a reasonable amount of time just like you would be at any full bar restaurant.
I’ll be back. It’s kind of crazy I’ve never been there before as it’s 15 minutes from where I live and it’s a word of mouth kind of place. If I had to guess, they like it that way and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
My boss lives in Frankton and has talked about it for years. I’m glad I finally stopped in. Thank you for having a business like this which is becoming rare in a world of overcharging and cookie cutter storefronts. You’re doing well Bernie’s!
