Ah, Woody’s Place — where ambiance meets abandonment issues. The décor screams “we gave up,” and the floors have clearly seen better centuries.
The culinary adventure began with the “potato crunchers,” which were frozen in the middle — a bold choice, really, serving them half-cooked. It’s not every day you get to experience the duality of ice cube meets grease.
Then came the pizza, complete with a complimentary hair garnish. I assume it’s part of the chef’s signature style — “from scalp to plate.”
The entertainment for the evening was the front cook loudly belittling the wait staff right in the middle of the dining room. Nothing pairs with disappointment quite like secondhand embarrassment. Bravo, chef. Truly setting the mood.
As a final touch, our server lovingly grabbed bar fruit with her bare hands — no gloves, just vibes — and the dishes looked like they’d been pre-loved by previous diners.
If you’re into chaos, conflict, and contamination, Woody’s Place is the destination for you. Otherwise, maybe grab a gas station sandwich instead — safer bet.

Went in for coffee and the lady’s room. Lol I had to wait for my granddaughter to get through her orientation anyway. The lady behind the bar greeted me with a smile and was upbeat. And I apologize I can not remember your name. But I will recognize you in future visits. Thank you for your hospitality, good atmosphere, and the delicious food I took home. And it was nice visiting with you also. Hubby was impressed with his hamburger also. We will be making a trip your way to have date night soon.

I really wanted to like Woody’s Place, but this visit was disappointing from start to finish. The restaurant felt dingy and not well kept, which was the first red flag. The potato crunchers came out still frozen in the middle, and to make matters worse, there was a hair baked into the pizza — completely unacceptable.
The overall atmosphere didn’t help either. The front cook spent a good portion of the time loudly belittling the wait staff right in front of customers, which made the whole meal uncomfortable and unprofessional. On top of that, I noticed the waitress handling bar fruit with her bare fingers, and several dishes looked like they hadn’t been cleaned properly from previous use.
Between the lack of cleanliness, poor food quality, and unprofessional behavior, I won’t be returning. Hopefully management takes these issues seriously because this place has potential — but it needs a major overhaul.

Went there on a whim as I stopped in to kill time before picking up my puppy nearby to bring back east. Being there helped me relax. Was your stereotypical small midwestern town. Friendly staff and great service. Had a hot dog that brought back memories.

Definitely our favorite place to grab a pizza. Never disappointed always made to perfection. Prices are reasonable and service is great. And their wings , salads and onion rings are really good too. Don’t feel like cooking but want good food swing on by

It was ok. Got the “woody’s giant steak sandwich” it was not giant. It was 2 frozen beef patties on a sub roll with some pasta sauce. Wasn’t impressed. It took the girl at the bar at least 10 minutes after I set my menu down to come get my order, I was the only one sitting g at the bar. Overall it wasnt terrible but I wont return. There are better places to eat close by.

Heard good things about the perch dinner so, decided to give it a try. Started off by ordering drinks. Bud light draft and water with lemon. Server brought those and they were in small plastic cups and the cups were like two thirds filled. Ordered an Arnold Palmer with Vodka and it tasted like it had Fireball in it. I asked if they knew how to make it before ordering it and they said yes. Next was the meal. Orderd the perch dinner with potato and salad and appetizer of wings. Wings were at least decent but, the rest was awful. Salad was in a small coleslaw like cup and food came served on a paper plate with plastic wear. Now I’ve been to bars before and have never been served on paper. Server was not good or attentive and ended up taking the bill up to the bar myself and cashing out. They also tack on a charge for using a credit card also something that im not used to a bar doung to pay your bill. Needless to say wont recommend to anyone not will I return.
