Dropped into this restaurant because I was early for a show at the venue next door, I didn’t expect much but EVERYTHING was so very delicious.
I was visiting from out of state and honestly this is going to be one of my stops next time I’m in town.
The tables are a bit close together but service was great and if you like making friends with your table neighbors then you’d enjoy this place.
I chose the blackened fish tacos. And what I did not know was that it came with a side of black beans and rice, and they threw in some salsa verde. I liked the mild flavor of the combination of the black beans and rice. My first bite of the taco was interesting. The cabbage mix, corn and the salsa were fresh! I loved the texture and the crunch of all the flavors married together. The fish was a little underwhelming. I thought it’d be a bit more sapid, but as I ate more of the taco, the protein began to blend in well with everything else that was topped within. All in all I’ll give it a 7.5 for sure!
I got the chili line shrimp tacos. Note you can’t interchange them. You get (3) of the same tacos. I changed out the rice & beans for potatoes at no charge, as I’m allergic to beans. My husband you fajita burrito which he said was good!
We would recommend stopping by, just come with patience. The music they play isn’t personally my style, but we come for the food. They do have a free parking lot behind the building. I think I saw a note that they charge a % if you pay with credit card, so we paid cash. Note everything is pretty much ala cart. Chips & salsa cost. Side of guacamole doesn’t come with chips, but that said, it’s all pretty reasonable prices, so that is ok for us.
I was told to try the Grizz and Ms Ginger hooked me up. She was pleasant and nice. Easy to talk too made me feel right at home!
10/10 will return.
If you’re looking for a place to grab some afternoon tacos This is the WORST place to consider! I’m born & raised here in Atlanta, I’ve dined at many bars & restaurants in the city & I HAVE NEVER BEEN TURNED AROUND & DENIED SERVICE because I HAD MY BABY with me !!!
This place turned me around and denied me service. The manager saw me walking in & literally MET me at the door & said I’m sorry this place is 21& up.I’m like I know that! I’m 35 & my
mom is 51. He said “ yea but you have a baby with you.” It was 12:30pm the place was pretty much empty & there was a side of the restaurant that was 100% empty , which was TOTALLY SEPARATE from the bar. I humbly replied & informed him that I originally wanted to sit on the empty side . He STILL TOLD ME NO & denied me & service . Like LITERALLY he was standing in front of us as if we were UNWANTED VISITORS.
It was a total SHOCK!! I have never experienced anything like this. This place should be RED FLAGGED for DISCRIMINATION . It was humiliating & A WASTE OF TIME. We were in a rush & I spent 15 min getting the stroller & my baby out the car just to turn right back around to do it all over again !!!!
I feel like he was not only denying me and my family service because I had a baby but I felt RACIALLY PROFILED as well.
Fast forward, I’ve returned to the car to put everything back in the trunk. I was telling my mom OUTLOUD how UNPROFESSIONAL & INCONVENIENT this experience has been . I said THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER…I heard someone outside in the back in the parking lot, next thing I know the manager walks up behind me while tearing down a box & says to me “ yea I see you had to take everything & put it right back in the car , yea sorry.” That’s when I knew he felt GUILTY !! Then I told him “ yea it’s inconvenient & I’ve never experienced anything like this other bar or restaurant that has denied me service .
I also told him this wasn’t fair because HE DIDNT HAVE A SIGN THAT SAID NO BABIES OR CHILDREN. & THE WEBSITE DID NOT HAVE A DISCLAIMER !!!!
Let’s be honest you guys, most professional managers or owners prioritize customer satisfaction & their establishment’s reputation . Obviously, THIS GUY DOES NOT CARE! He didn’t offer to make any accommodations or anything . He preferred to miss out on money vs serving us.
This place is 0 STARS . This place demonstrated 0 star hospitality. 0 stars for 0 consideration of customers. Also their outdoor dining area looked like the back of a landfill.
& if you’re thinking about still going here to eat or drink, if the management is this rude , discriminatory , careless & unprofessional then just imagine what the kitchen staff , the food & overall service is like .
If I could report this place to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU , I would. However based off the look & lack of professionalism this place probably is NOT LEGIT . Could probably be something illegal goin on under the table who knows. Maybe that’s why he was being so anal.
SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE …there is a variety of other places to go within the area !
