This is the best Japanese bbq I’ve had. The food was all very good quality and tasted great. I didn’t feel bad after the meal and thought that the amount of food was just right as well.
The service was also very great. We got to our reservation 16 minutes late, but they were still able to accommodate us even though it was a very full night. Our server helped explain the menu well and gave great recommendations.
Overall, the atmosphere was good too. It wasn’t too loud and you could have a pleasant conversation while eating.
I would definitely come back and I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Japanese bbq.

A fun place to eat with a group of people. You will BBQ your own food. So be ready to have your clothes and hair smell afterwards. They’re popular for their meats. So it’s not suitable if you’re a vegetarian, eventhough they also offer some non meat dishes like vegetables and seafood.

We got a 3 person BBQ course Menu and it was very good. The beef was very tender and soft, chicken well seasoned. The calamari was so tasty. Overall I’m looking forward to come back. The only downside. No parking, just street parking and you have to pay. But at least it’s showing on the website and you know what to expect.

We had a lovely dinner at Gyu Kaku today! Our three young children were with us, and the staff was very patient and food came quickly which was helpful in keeping them busy eating. Tim was our server, and the service was a 10/10!!

This is a great place to go on a date night by or eat with some friends. The food is tasty and flavorful and it is definitely enough to fill you up! The staff is friendly and attentive. Patty in particular was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and had great energy.

First time at this place for me, but not for my wife, and it was super, super good.
First, the decoration is pretty nice and chill.
The meat was amazing. We had the meat lovers menu, and for the price, it’s awesome. We were both stuffed like two big pigs. The two s’mores that come at the end are perfect and super fun.
The staff are very nice, and the service is very good.

Ate here for dinner with my friend. I’ve eaten at the Pasadena, CA location before so I was confident the clarendon location would be good. It was! Quality of food, service, & pricing were consistent. We made reservations earlier that day for a table at 6 pm.
My friend & I ordered the value set meal. Everything was delicious. We were too full to try dessert. I need to get smores next time!!
Highly recommend. Make sure you wear your comfy, stretchy pants because you will be stuffed.
