Food: one of the best coixinhas I’ve ever had. Pastel was full of meat (not like the MASSIVE pastries with a little pocket of meat at brasilian st fairs). Bigger pão de queijo. Not typically my favorite in the bigger size, but the Parmesan addition and consistency of the dough and cheese is so good.
Service: these guys were so sweet! Super helpful and kind. See, Sao Paolo folks can be nice too
Atmosphere: colorful, vibrant. There’s space for a group of people to stop. Plenty TVs for brasilian futebol. Was a lot smaller than expected tho!
Muito obrigado a vcs!
The caprese sandwich ($9.99) was good. I just wish it was a little warmer/hotter (personal preference). The churrasco burger ($7.99) bun was regular size, but the patty itself was much smaller. That being said, it was quite good. If it was half its size larger and cost $9.99, that would be great. If I could get a double that would be great.
Tried a Café Con Leche (s – $3.20) for the first time. It was alright.
Mine tasted like it had been sitting under a lamp. But, that’s not a deal breaker for me. I will go back for new tries,.and also get some repeats like their mortadella sandwich and the pichaña lunch special.
The atmosphere felt friendly and inviting as well, and was a cozy place to stop by.
Julio was our receptionist and was very cheerful and kind, definitely coming back to try out the rest of the menu!
Update. I’ve visited a second time and 10/10!
I had a Sanduba de Pernil/Roasted Pork Sandwich, a coxinha, a chocolate croissant, a chocolate truffle (I think), and a passion fruit juice. All of it was amazing!!
I wish they had some of the key lime pie they advertised on the menu, but seems it was not available at the time I was there. There are not many parking spots in front of the business so you have to park along the street, luckily it’s free parking.
I don’t remember the names of the food items we ordered but it was the cheeseburger and the popular pork sandwich. We also ordered 2 passion fruit juices and 1 beef, 1 cheese empanada.
The empanadas were really good, but compared to other countries I felt like they could have more seasonings and some veggies in the beef one.
The passion fruit juices is really tart just an FYI not sweet at all. Which was a shock at first but then I just told myself at least I know it’s fresh and not altered.
The sandwiches were both really good and surprisingly very light on the stomach.
Overall very glad I knocked this on off my list. Very tasty food and very very reasonable prices. They have everything you need to stay and study, read a book, catch a quick bite, catch up with a friend, or a casual date. Well worth a visit.
Not sure what to get? The must-try items are: pão de queijo, empanadas, coxinhas, pernil sandwich, creamy pulled chicken sandwich, mortadella sandwich.
