WOW! What a fantastic place for vegetarians! Amazing food and health supplies! This is an absolute must stop if you’re in the area.

Kristina is a gem, so sweet and kind answering any questions we had and sharing some casual conversation. I am so thankful to find this place while we stay in the area for an extended time.

I cannot wait to give her more of my business. Rememeber to support your local businesses!

The atmosphere felt like we were family coming in for a visit and a quick dinner. Loved everything about this establishment.

I was in Ky working as a National Park Service volunteer and discovered Kristina’s Kitchen. OMG what a life saver— she bills the cafe as plant based but doesn’t call it vegan for some reason, although it definitely is.

Her tofu scramble is the BEST I’ve ever had. I loved all my meals here, and there were a few. Highly recommend

Kristina’s Kitchen in Whitley City, Kentucky, is a unique dining experience that combines a health store ambiance with a culinary twist. On a recent visit with my family, my daughter savored a grilled cheese, my wife enjoyed the falafel, and I opted for a tomato and avocado sandwich. While our experience at Kristina’s Kitchen was pleasant in many respects, there was one notable downside that we couldn’t overlook: the long wait for our orders.

The restaurant’s setting, nestled within a health store, adds a distinctive and wholesome touch to the dining experience. The rustic decor and the friendly staff make you feel at home. The menu, which showcases a variety of options that cater to health-conscious diners, piqued our interest. My daughter’s anticipation for the grilled cheese, my wife’s excitement to savor the falafel, and my eagerness for the tomato and avocado sandwich were high as we eagerly awaited our meals.

Unfortunately, our enthusiasm was dampened by the extended wait time. We understand that freshly prepared dishes take time, but the delay in receiving our orders was notably long. It was disappointing to have to wait so patiently, especially with a hungry child in tow. The extended wait was our primary criticism of the visit.

However, when our food finally arrived, we were met with a silver lining. The grilled cheese was ooey-gooey perfection, with a crisp exterior and melty cheese on the inside. The falafel was a delightful blend of Mediterranean flavors that my wife thoroughly enjoyed. My tomato and avocado sandwich was a fresh and healthy choice, with perfectly ripe ingredients that created a delicious combination. The quality and taste of the food certainly lived up to our expectations.

In conclusion, Kristina’s Kitchen offers a promising culinary experience within the unique setting of a health store. While the extended wait for our meals was a notable drawback, the flavors and quality of the food made up for it. With a little improvement in service efficiency, this restaurant could become a true dining gem in Whitley City, Kentucky. We’re willing to give it another chance, hoping for a more streamlined dining experience on our next visit.

What a great place!! Delicious and healthy food, great prices, free delivery (up to 5 miles), quick service, and friendly owner. Kristina is friendly and personable. Got the special (stir fry veggies and noodles), with the falafel w/dip, and a cookie. Amazing!!!

Delicious and nutritious meals. It’s rare to find a restaurant on par with home cooked meals. Plant-based, colorful, and full of flavor. When you stop by, the bake goods are a must too!

Delicious food! We stopped by during a trip to hike in Big South Fork. Coming from Nashville, I’m a bit picky when it comes to small town food. I was SO glad to find a healthy -and- tasty option. Got the brunch special which came out super fast. I’m not even a vegetarian but I loved the tofu eggs, and the waffles were amazing.

I just moved back to the county after moving around the USA for the last 20 years. I was so pleased and surprised to find a healthy food option that isn’t mcdonalds. When I walked in, Kristina was absolutely fantastic! She explained a little about her menu and selections, was happy to answer all of my questions, and best of all, the food was delicious! I’ve only had a few items off the menu so far, but I can’t wait to try more.
I was also very excited that they are an apothecary! They carry a great selection of herbs, spices, essential oils, natural soaps, balms, natural medicines, teas, and more!
I’ll definitely be spending way too much money here for as long as they’ll let me, lol.

Really friendly place with great food. We had the lentil soup and it was divine. They had a breakfast buffet after Yamacraw with delicious waffles, french toast, and an amazing tofu scramble. Would highly recommend. Great prices and really good food.

Omygoodness! We bought one of each of all four types of muffins (blueberry, pumpkin spice, double chocolate, and cranberry-orange) available the day we visited, and they were SUPERB: so moist and flavorful! Google Maps sent us here for breakfast, but we wanted eggs, so Kristina recommended another restaurant. What a kind and welcoming spirit she is! I wish we lived closer so we could enjoy her muffins regularly!
