I’ve been ordering funky before it officially opened its doors as they started doing carry out during Covid in 2020. No matter what day or time, the service is excellent. The food is always fresh and the quality is superior to other sushi restaurants. The menu is a mix of Asian dishes, some taken from one culture and added to another. I have never been disappointed. When my daughter was alive this was her favourite spot in Walkerville, despite having other favourite dishes at other restaurants. And she LOVED. the mocktails. When she passed and we had a celebration for her 18th birthday we catered Funky Chow and they made a special Mocktail (it would have been her 17th) called “Tenshi” which means Angel in Japanese. So not only is the food delicious with excellent quality, they also excel in customer service. It may have been “just a mocktail” to some, however it meant so much more to us.

Really disappointed with the quantity of food even though it was tasty. It’s not worth the price at all. We had to go one more place to fill our tummy. But the ambience and vibe is amazing.

We had a reservation at 6pm and right from the jump was off put by the service. We waited about 20 mins to put in a drink order while our server walked past us multiple times she didn’t even acknowledge us and receiving side eyes. We finally got to put in our food order about 20 mins after that. Received the food and there was hair in the one set of the rolls. The bartender was the only redeeming quality he was lovely.

Funky Chow is my partner’s and my favorite restaurant in the city, and it’s a must-try if you enjoy Asian cuisine. You have to try the crispy pork belly bao buns. The servers are very kind, the kitchen is fast and the vibe is great for date nights.

It’s decent, but not quite to my taste. While they do mention that the portions are smaller, I found them to be a bit too small for the price, which feels somewhat overhyped. The presentation is well done, and the food looks appealing, but that’s where it ends for me. The decor, however, is pleasant.

I only ordered the shrimp dumplings (fried) but they were really tasty!!! Not tooo many vegetarian options here. Would definitely like to see more as the food was a hit!
The cocktails ordered were delicious but I thought it was a bit pricey ($15) for the amount you actually receive – the glasses are so tiny!

My dii is Ning experience here is always great. Never had a bad food item choice.
This is definitely not a place to go if you are a picky eater.
If you are a foodie and like to try good food combinations this is a great place for you.
Main room is very vibrant and colorful.
The only set back for me is the rather drab washrooms. They could use a makeover.
