Ordered roasted Duck and Pork chow main.
Roasted duck is previously frozen and it’s like a sponge.
Sucked up all sauce, dry but soggy.
Chow main pork is not roasted pork just regular meat and smelled bad because of spoiled bean sprouts.
I feel not safe to eat those so just tossed in garbage.
Very disappointed.

We love this place. Been coming here for a few years, 2-3 times a week more recently. My partner was diagnosed with cancer and the only thing he can seem to keep down is their Wonton Soup, and a few other items. The staff is amazing, especially Ming. He is always kind and the food comes quick and hot, even on takeout. Silver Dragon feels like family now that we go there so often.

First time trying this restaurant out and even though I can’t say my family and I loved it I can say we enjoyed it. We had some hot tea and ordered 2 orders or eggs rolls for appetizer and those were really good with the sauce. For dinner we shared a plate of sesame chicken, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, steamed rice and vegetable chow mein. We all left with our stomach satisfied and leftovers for home. Service was ok. We will give it a try again another day but instead of dinner we will have lunch.

Absolutely best meal out in a long time! Very good fresh food. Nice quiet atmosphere, and very affordable for retired seniors. Close by silverlake on the road to Costco. I will take visitors there for lunch or dinner. L.

It’s interesting to read some of the other reviews. (Let me try to be diplomatic) I disagree with them based on my own experiences, as my family have been coming here for close to 30 years. I’ve had nothing but the best service from the owners and they recognize and greet us warmly every time we come in. Now look, my tastes are different from anyone else’s but based on 30 years, they are solid. When I come in and order Beef Chow Mein or Salt and Pepper Shrimp, I know what I’m going to get. Every time. Consistency is key and they deliver.

I realized on this excursion, that I prefer the Beef chow mein over the House chow mein. I think since the House chow mein has shrimp and Chicken on top of Beef, that there are too many competing flavors. Just pick the meat of your choice and you’ll be fine.

The Salt and Pepper shrimp are an absolute staple in my outings. The potstickers are good, not the best, but good.

The Szechuan Beef was tasty, though I believe my better half liked it more since she ordered a second order to go

One reviewer had a problem about price, ok, but I see every other place increasing prices. Inflation. They need to make a profit while maintaining quality and just a good business. This place has been for at last 29 years. How many other businesses can say that? They must have gotten something right. I will keep coming here until they close the doors for good, and I hope that’s a long way off.

So we used to go here for years. Good portions and great food. Haven’t been there in a year so we decided to order out and when we got home we were very dissatisfied in the amount of food we got. We spent 67.00 plus a 3.00 tip, 70.00 total for a family of 3 meal. All our sauces and main meal were half full except the rice. Go figure. Our food was barely enough for 2 people and no we aren’t big people that can consume a lot of food. We only live 1 min away and since we brought it home they wouldn’t give us a refund or more food. I suggest hitting up the Ming Garden that isn’t far from this restaurant. You get more food that’s extremely tasty and isn’t as expensive.

Lunch prices were kind of high. Both lunches came out cold. She came and grabbed the tip off the table before we left which was so weird. If she would have cleared the table and picked up the tip I could see that, but nope, walked straight over and only snatched the cash. Didn’t really care for it. Also seemed like she didn’t want us to dine in. Then others after us came in.

Had dinner there recently. Ordered a single dinner and paid extra to get the full meal deal which includes prawns, barbecued pork and eggroll. Ended up costing me $40 and all I got was one slice of barbecued pork, one tiny Chinese shrimp, and a tiny egg roll, outrageously expensive wasn’t very good!
