WOW! It really pays to ask locals where to eat in town, because this spot blew our minds. We got the chefs tasting menu, at $85 it was a steal. Our amazing server, Esteban guided us through each dish, and gave us backstory on the history of the chef and family. If you’re not in the mood for the tasting menu, you NEED to get a dish that features the chefs grandmothers tomato sauce. 10/10 recommend.

This place is a little gem located in Healdsburg. My server was named Vanessa and she was really nice. They offer outdoor and indoor seating. I do recommend reservations. Now the good stuff, the food. I tried the pulpo (octopus) I have eaten it from a lot of places and only had one I would go back and eat. That was at the Waldorf. I’m happy to say Guiso is on the list for octopus. It was tender and cooked to perfection. The paella was also cooked to perfection. I also tried their oysters which were clean and refreshing. Desert is a must try so please save room.

We didn’t know what to expect, walking in without a reservation early on a Friday evening, but Guiso exceeded expectations. We had the chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings, which was a reasonable $80 (food) + $40 (wine) per person for three courses plus dessert. Our waitress assured us that it would not be too much food, and it wasn’t; we left satisfied but not overly full. The two of us got different appetizers and entrees and shared each for an extra set of food to try; our salads were delicious but identical. Wine pairings were per dish, so halfway through each different course, the two of us would switch glasses. Our waitress reminded us that they are open for lunch as well as dinner, encouraging us to return the next day for another meal. It was so good, that we will likely accept her offer to return.

One of the best restaurants in town.Every dish is a perfect balance of herbs spices and flavors. Very innovative menu we had ground beef mildly spiced in lettuce wraps and cod with a veloute and bokchoy all seasoned and spiced with a wonderful selection of flavors. He devised a new dessert while we were there a coconut rice pudding with a mango frothy glaze with another spice on top every bite was perfection. We sat at the bar and watched the chefs. Small kitchen but very well prepared and maintained a well run operation. Too busy eating to take photos

We were seated outside beside the patio heaters which kept us warm and toasty as we enjoyed our dinner. The servers were incredibly warm, funny and friendly. They recommended some great options for us. We had the Pulled Pork Sliders for starters and the sauces and flavours were mind-blowing good!! The Church Smashed Burgers was perfectly cooked and the fries were some of the best we have ever had! The Halibut was very delicate and the perfect option for a healthy and yet deliciously exotic meal. Can’t wait to be back here!

This place was recommended to us as a dinner place but we went for lunch and it was still incredible. The staff is extremely friendly and sweet with the food being even better! The octopus is melt in your mouth and the tacos are definitely a must. If you’re here during the summer, their corn special is a must. Overall such a cute place and a good place to share if in a small group.

Many restaurants offer a great dining experience. Some are able to deliver a wonderful experience. Few give you everything and more. We’ve had Guiso Latin Fusion on our list for a long time. We finally made it, and we’re speechless with delight. Seating inside is limited due to size. There is outside seating with patio heaters. Size matters as this added to the ambiance. The menu is also small. But, don’t that mislead you. It is filled with treasures and surprises. Most menu items are meant to share. Our server was attentive and guided us to spectacular treats. The food has origins in El Salvador and comes from the imagination of the head chef. The presentation was masterful. The flavors were what we can only dream of – awesome! Meats were cooked to perfection and tender. We spent about $50 each for two. This was more than fair. If you want a unique dining experience and love fantastic food, this is your place.

We finally popped in for a meal after a movie one night and what a treat! We ordered several appetizers to share and each one was a distinct and delicious. We will definitely be returning to try more dishes, but the brussel sprouts will always be among anything we order – what a fantastic delight for the palate.

Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at, and that’s saying a lot. Small quaint family owned restaurant, with all homemade Latin food. We reserved a table ahead which I recommend. The days leading up, we kept hearing so many people say we should try this place out and I see why! We ordered tapas style and shared, Passionfruit Ensalada, Oysters, Pupusa, Cachapa, Papas de Camote, Chilaquiles, and Quesadillita Salvadorena for dessert. The flavors were vibrant and well balanced. The food was plated beautifully, every very dish just kept getting better and better. Our favorite was the Cachapa, A must try! The staff and chef (who is also the owner) were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see this restaurant earn a Michelin Star in the near future.

A solid 5 stars all around for an amazing family style dining experience. One year later and I stand by my review. I’m not typically a fan of small costly dishes, but I’ll make an exception for this restaurant. Their food is wonderful and excellent. My recommendations are the shrimp in guiso, tacos, scallops and pinot grape juice.
