We happened to be there on their busiest morning. Food was great. They were not prepared for the crowd, and asked for our patience. Hostess was for sure overwhelmed. We had the blueberry pancakes and the Nutella crepe. Pancakes were great. Crepe wasn’t hot. Berries were good

You gotta stop for the view and food! It’s so pretty sitting in the octagon main room with a great view of Bar Harbor. The drinks are great and the food is delicious!

A bit expensive for breakfast. Gorgeous view from the indoors or outdoors. I sat outside on a pleasant 70F morning. Being in Maine, my daughter tried the blueberry latte-loved the blueberry flavor but the roast was more bitter than she prefers. We ordered an omelette, a Bar Harbor breakfast, and breakfast burrito. The bacon was a nice center cut thick bacon and my order included 3 slices instead of two. The burrito was excellent as well. The omelette was typical.

Simply one of the best views for breakfast/lunch in Bar Harbor. The food is good and service is polite and attentive. I personally recommend the blueberry pancakes which were pretty good. The skillet on the other hand was a mixed experience as I didn’t realize the egg was a add on, it should just be part of the skillet and I’m sure everyone would be ok paying for it to be part of the dish, getting a breakfast skillet full of vegetables without eggs was a strange experience.

The service was great. The hostess, the waitress, and the gentleman that brought me coffee and water were all so friendly. I had an egg (was a little over done for my liking but still good) a pancake and potatoes all very delicious. The view was amazing. Highly recommend trying it.

Looking Glass Restaurant boasts an absolutely stunning view—it’s easily the best part of the experience and makes for a great atmosphere. The food was decent and the menu had a good variety to choose from.

However, the service was underwhelming. It took at least 20 minutes for our food to arrive, and the staff didn’t seem particularly attentive throughout the visit. While the menu itself is diverse, there weren’t many options clearly marked or tailored for those with dietary restrictions, which could be challenging for some guests.

Overall, it’s worth a visit for the view and a decent meal, but don’t expect exceptional service.

Delicious gluten free pancakes (blueberry + banana nut), as well as a gluten free blueberry scone, AND gf bread for eggs Benedict. Really appreciated all of the GF options, everything was delicious, and the views are wonderful!

If you have time and patience, come here for the view and a delicious, relaxed meal experience. This place is a gem and is not overpriced. Serving sizes were great and we even left with a few boxes. The corn beef plate and blueberry pancakes are not to be missed. The home fries are my favorite kind, crunchy with the perfect texture. Service was very friendly and the restaurant is beautiful inside!

During our stay at the Wonder View Inn, We decided to have breakfast at Looking Glass. The restaurant lives up to its name, providing stunning views of Bar Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. Despite its bustling atmosphere, we were promptly seated, which was a plus.

However, there was a notable delay in receiving our food compared to later-arriving guests. Our selections, the Veggie Delight and a custom omelette with sausage links, were delicious and filling. The only downside was the relatively high prices for the overall dining experience.

For those lodging at Wonder View Inn or Bluenose Inn, Looking Glass proves a convenient breakfast spot.

It’s a great spot if you want to start your day with a view. This is a breakfast restaurant inside Wonder Inn Hotel in Bar Harbor. Outdoor seating could be troublesome because the umbrellas are not doing much in the mornings since they are not tilted. I enjoyed my breakfast bowl with corned beef, carrots, cabbage, homefries and eggs. Overall, the items on the menu seems overpriced. The ambiance is soothing but the service was lacking.
