Just a little home town pizza place. However, the pizza was phenomenal! I wasn’t expecting it to taste better than most “highly advertised” pizza places but, damn it does. I got the chicken barbecue in a small size. 100% will order again when I’m feeling the wasn’t for pizza. Oh, the salads are great too.

Debra’s Pizza
Debra’s Pizza is one of my favorite places to eat! Their pizza is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and I also love their taco salad and pasta salad — both are delicious and super affordable. The portions are generous, the prices are great, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.
If you want good food that’s reasonably priced and served with a smile, Debra’s Pizza is the place to go!
The small pepperoni pizza at Debra’s Pizza was perfect — the crust was golden and slightly crisp on the outside but soft inside. The pepperoni had just the right amount of spice and a nice crispy edge, and the cheese was melted perfectly, stretching with every bite. You could taste how fresh the sauce was — rich, tangy, and not too greasy. It was the kind of pizza that hits the spot

Debra is rude. She would rather sit and watch where people park instead of helping her employees. Rewind, My friends and I have parked at debra’s parking lot for months now. Tonight, we got a note on our car to move and then she came and knocked on the door telling us to move. There were plenty of parking spots for customers.

Not impressed. The crust tasted like pre-made/frozen, very tough and chewy. Reminds me of those crusts I buy at Aldi. Toppings were decently proportioned and fresh and it’s not the WORST pizza I’ve ever had, but there are plenty of other shops in town that make their own crust and if I’m going out to eat I’d rather not get something I can buy at the store.
Also, we’re past the days of surcharging for credit cards. That’s part of the cost of doing business, literally everybody else figures it into their prices (and it’s not like this pizza is super cheap here and they’re trying to help you out, it’s more expensive here than the chain restaurants). That alone is enough to make me not come back.
Sorry, but I don’t recommend.

Inadvertently found Debra’s and am so glad we did. We will definitely be back!!! Was not busy to sit and eat inside and the order did not take long at all. Kids all loved it and we’re happy. The pizza salads and spaghetti were big hits. A large salad could feed the whole table fyi….good but way more than was in expected. Pizza was among the best in town! The spaghetti with the garlic butter and meatballs was a kid favorite. Definitely check it out if your in the area. And if you like old Newark history the building and decor are for you!

A staple in the Hudson Avenue area. Debra’s has been here for quite a few years, providing quality service with a smile. Good crispy crust pizza that isn’t too greasy is hard to find but Debra’s makes it very well. The experience and food are both highly rated in my opinion and have continued to go to this small business for more years than I can count.
Will definitely return for more pizzas.
