(Forgive me for the lack in interior pictures, I promise it is very cute!)

This is a prime location for coffee, snacks, and study-time! With an open concept room with many tables, plugs, and fresh air; who wouldn’t write their PhD in Hansa?!

Their coffee selection is awesome, with friendly baristas who always have great recs for a coffee plebeian like me. I love their sweet coffees (I forgot their names, just ask!) Will be returning for the foreseeable future as a student!

Hansa Coffee Roasters delivers an exceptional coffee experience that stands out for its rich, perfectly roasted flavor. The quality of the coffee is immediately noticeable robust, smooth, and expertly balanced, making it a true highlight for coffee enthusiasts.
The ambiance of the café adds a unique charm. Set in a space that resembles an open garage, it offers a classic, almost industrial vibe that feels both inviting and refreshingly unpretentious. It’s the kind of setting that encourages lingering conversations or quiet moments of reflection with a great cup in hand.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, contributing to the relaxed and approachable atmosphere. Pricing is reasonable, especially considering the quality of the coffee and overall experience.

This place has a good concept — cozy atmosphere, tasty coffee, and interesting pastries. A nice spot for a morning break or working with a laptop.

However, a few things took away from the experience. The guy at the front desk was quite unfriendly and seemed very pessimistic. It felt like he was serving me not because it’s his job, but because he was forced to. That kind of attitude really affects the customer experience — a bit of courtesy would go a long way.

I also noticed some safety concerns: exposed electrical components (see photo), which are a violation of electrical safety codes. There were a few other similar issues that need to be addressed.

Overall, the café has potential, but there’s definitely room for improvement — both in customer service and in maintaining basic safety standards.

Absolutely amazing coffee shop. The beverages are delicious and have some unique options.

There’s lots of seating space. They have it set up for people who need to get remote work done.

Wonderful coffee place. It has only one comfortable seating area right at the entrance but it has a huge hall where folks can sit and work / study. They have good collection of coffee. We ordered

Bourbon Pecan Latte and Blueberry Muffin Latte. I requested for extra hot and girl who was making my coffee was very considerate and kind and made sure she gave us extra hot coffee. Unfortunately, the guy who took my order was not a kind of pleasing personality.

We loved both the lattes we ordered. They have lot of things to sell too like, coffee beans, coffee machines, merchandise. Loved the place. Will definitely go back there.

Hi ! Thank you for reading my reviews! I’m happy! This cafe is unusual. The cafe is located on the site of an old car service station. In Europe this is unthinkable.. There is definitely the best coffee within a 100 mile radius! There is no design, but the atmosphere is beautiful in its simplicity! I would add small cups of expresso coffee and desserts with sponge cake. I recommend visiting!

Chill little coffee spot. The cold brew was heaven and the team were really kind. Multiple seating areas. Prices were reasonable, about what you’d pay at chains but delivering much higher quality.

The baked goods looked scrumptious.

The only downside is that this is next to train tracks so conversations will be interrupted if the doors are open.

I’ll definitely be back. ❤️

I’ve had this coffee at another restaurant before and it was so delicious. Couldn’t wait to try the actual place where they roasted it and it was so wonderful. I had the Chili P latte, which had espresso and chocolate and chili and milk. And it was wonderful. It can get a little loud because it’s kind of open, but once it wasn’t as crowded it was a nice place to visit with my friend.

My coworkers and I wanted get coffee after lunch. Was a great idea!

Food: I normally don’t get coffee. I got the iced Chai which I really liked. The cashier really helped my friends and I pick great options.

Service: Our cashier really was talkative and offered up options for use which we really liked.

Atmosphere: Or ambiance like it call it, was really open and welcoming. The staff at the shoppe really made comfortable!

Overall, I have to say one of the best coffee staff and shops I have ever been to.

Was looking for a place to meet a friend that was between her and my house. Found Hansa’s on Google Maps and was excited when I saw all the coffee options, alternative milk options, and pastry options!

When you pull into the parking lot it seems as there is not enough parking, but as you drive further back you’ll see there is enough.

As you go to right of the garage doors you’ll enter a small little coffee shop enough for maybe 10 people to stand comfortably and a small lounge area for about 4 people to sit and wait.

As you are greeted by the pastry display case you get to choose from so many different items.

I chose the Meyer’s Lemon Scone and a Chocolate Chip Cookie. The scone was perfect! I enjoyed the sweetness of the lemon drizzle on top. The Chocolate Chip Cookie was really good, but not my favorite, still looking for the best in Chicagoland.

My friend purchased a Cinnamon Roll and a Caribbean Pecan Muffin. She devoured the CR right away and enjoyed every bite. It seems to be a popular item.

We both ordered the Cold Brew with Oat Milk. It was so smooth and delicious!

Overall this place was amazing and I would drive the hour to go here often.

I also really loved Libertyville! It was my first time visiting, but won’t be the last!
