If you are looking for some GOOOOODDDD southern home cooking, Backyard BBQ is your place!! We probably inhaled our meal in 10 minutes because it was THAT good. Two meals that filled your belly up for literally only $26??? You can’t beat it… I was shocked!!!

The biggest thing to know here is that it’s a country cooking, meat and 2 veg kind of place NOT a BBQ place. Yes, they do have something that some people might consider BBQ, but not anything I would call BBQ. Soft cooked shredded pork cooked in a sweetish red sauce. Vegetables were decent, but green beans were definitely canned with some seasoning added. Mashed potatoes were good and may have been made in-house. Might try them again for the fried chicken or another meat, but definitely would not go back for BBQ.

I went here for breakfast because everyone was telling me it was a good place to eat. By the time I got there everything on the buffet was pretty much gone except some bacon that was pretty dried out, I ordered two eggs over medium bacon and wheat toast which came to $6.85. my eggs were not cook correct in the bacon was hard and dry from being under the heat lamp of the buffet area. I had a waitress asked me if something was wrong I said yes could I please get some different bacon this is really hard and dry she said okay I’ll be right back. She came back with bacon that looked exactly like what I had already asked her to exchange and told me it was fresh. At this point I just asked for a to-go box and left. After all the good things I heard about this place I was highly disappointed. Especially for the price.

As soon as I walked into Tammy’s Backyard BBQ I got greeted by wonderful staff. The atmosphere of the place is so welcoming and the people are super friendly, they have both great prices and great food. My experience with Backyard BBQ was amazing since they have the best home-cooked food in town. Not only do they have the best home-cooked food but they have AMAZING cheeseburgers!

Genuine friendliness is present among patrons and staff at this restaurant. “Home Style” breakfast and lunch are served here, including coffee, fountain drinks, and freshly brewed iced tea. Food is served quick and delicious. This is among my favorite dining choices in the area.

Was recommended this place by a coworker and I was not disappointed. The yams I got were amazing in particular. Overall the food was very good and it felt like home cooked food. Only complaint is the price felt a little much for the quantity, but considering it’s locally owned I’m willing to pay more. Great local spot!

I have came her for years and over time, especially in the last year the prices have increased and the portions have gotten smaller. Come hungry and leave even more hungry. I don’t think I will be returning. The portions are so small I actually feel like I’m being taken advantage of. No thanks.

Eat breakfast here six days per week most weeks and have for the past Ten + years, as well as, lunch on many occasions. Very good food, excellent service, friendly staff and atmosphere. All this at a great price. Quite simply, THE BEST PLACE TO EAT IN TOWN!!

They are getting over with the small portions for what they charge! The one scoop of rice and they shake back some of that off the spoon so you wont get it!!! Today was my last day of over paying for such a small portion!
