DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE.
I’ve been here a few times and have enjoyed my experiences in the past but this is NOT a Safe Space. “The inmates rule the prison.” The Green Lantern has been compared to its sister bar in Louisville and in no world is this place related to that bar.

Excellent dive bar with great staff and pretty decent beer selection. Full bar if you want a cocktail — my wife was very happy with her gin drink. They’ve got their head in the right place for sure.

This rating is based on category. If you want a proper dive bar with a jukebox (TouchTunes) that’s got stickers and graffiti this is the spot. Bartenders were super friendly as were the patrons.

Anyone who doesn’t like the Lantern probably isn’t a very fun person to be around. It’s a dive bar and it’s pretty perfect. It’s also Moose approved and they have fernet. What more could you ask for?

We had an excellent night with some folks at the Lantern. That Nick guy was very hospitable and the drink prices were very fair. I played some alright guitar riffs in the Vibrolas. Then Voices of Addiction and the Jettisons proceeded to rock my socks off! They should sell socks there.
