While my hubby was on the way back from the vet’s I saw on Queen City I saw the story about Home Folks Cafe. When he got back I told him we’re going to breakfast here!! As soon as we walked in you could Instantly feel like you’d come home to Family!! The food was EXCELLENT!!

The Livermush sandwich was great..smooth yet crunchy from frying the livermush, with egg. Had mine on toast. Everything else’s choices looked great. Homie atmosphere. Pretty busy around breakfast while I was there. Plenty of tables. Quick service. The waitress was attentive. Prices were excellent. Cheap fast and delicious! Sorry about the glare in pictures. We sat in the back end of the restaurant. Looked to be an extra seating area/ storage. You won’t go wrong making this choice. Country cooking at its finest. Also, cute small stores for an afternoon of shopping. Enjoyed!

Stopped in for a bite late afternoon. Warmly greeted. Store was clean and well maintained. Server was nice and attentive.
Ordered breakfast, which was awesome. It’s great that you can get breakfast there all day. Ordered a hot dog on the side. I’m a hot dog fan, so I usually get one from places I’ve never been. As good as breakfast was, and as many hot dogs as I have sampled, this was the best ever. Mustard, chili, onions and slaw. Got 4 to go! I’ll be back. I suspect this place is packed at lunch, as the selection of meat and 3’s looked awesome.

I love this place. The food is homemade and tastes great! These little gems are hard to find these days. The chicken Philly steak sandwich is so good and I have to say the spaghetti is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and when you combine that with the wonderful food…this now becomes our weekly place to eat.

Friday 25th, 2025 take-out plates Very disappointed in who cooked or helped out this day ? My Chicken and fried Okra both looked like they hit hot grease for maybe 1-2 mins, the chicken was pink and blood to the bones!! The okra too looked translucent with wet (greasy) white flower on it. I had been sick for two weeks and was looking so forward to tasting some good food and believe me I was very disappointed. It had to be somebody new in the kitchen or something went wrong. Home folks has and will always be a great Place!! Just fix the problem please.
