We stopped for dinner on our way back to Canyon Lake this past weekend and I’m so happy we did.

They had recently rebuilt after a fire and I loved the new place. Plenty of space, inside and out and a chill vibe, friendly vibe.

The staff was great and I had the best spicy michelada that I’ve had in awhile. To eat, we had the sandy special and the chicken nachos. Both were tasty and the chicken on the nachos was great.

As an added bonus, they have a few hummingbird feeders on the porch and we saw at least 15!

Biker-vibe BBQ with good food, good drinks (mostly beer) and lots of nice bikes and cars from the people who visit the place. The place is in the middle of the road and the sign cannot be seen easily, but the location itself is pretty accurate. To drink we got a couple of beers which were very refreshing, then we got the Cobb Salad which was pretty good as well as the sampler with different types of meats (all well cooked and juicy). They also have special dishes, we tried the Tacos with pork carnitas and they were amazingly good.

This is a gem of a place located in a beautiful setting of the Hill country, near Sisterdale, TX. I came in late for a bite to eat and a lovely young lady greeted me and took my order. Then Billy himself came out and greeted me and welcomed me. They were so accommodating, The place has charm and was impeccably clean, and the food was top-notch. Turns out the lovely young lady that took my order is Billy’s daughter. Please don’t miss this place if you are ever in the area.

What a great find. Definitely a locals hangout but don’t let that deter you. Wife and I just happen to come across it and stayed for BBQ, cold beer and friendly owner and staff. Go out of your way to find this hide out. **Update**. We keep coming back as we bought some land close by. Just an amazing place.

Given their reputation, our party of two was disappointed with the food.
First time visiting since the rebuild. Did a nice job on the rebuild and the atmosphere is great. Only six other people there at the time, so crowd was not an issue.
Though they are more known for the burgers, we tried the brisket, sausage, and Sandy Special for a change. The sausage was standard fare and fine. The brisket was dry with little flavor. The Sandy Special was burnt on both sides and the meat (brisket again was dry) was overcome by the other ingredients. Given their past reputation, we were very disappointed. If we go again and the food is better, I will update this.
