We have tried most of the Mexican restaurants in Huntsville, and don’t find a lot of difference between them. We had not been to Texoro, nor its predecessor, but decided to go there today. The atmosphere was your typical Mexican restaurant. The service was pretty good, but dropped off a little after our food was served, which was weird because there were only a handful of other diners. BUT the FOOD & frozen margarita was THE BEST of any Mexican restaurant I have been to. So many of the Mexican restaurants pretty much taste the same. This food had a unique flavor and seemed very fresh. The frozen margarita wasn’t too sour like many are. Not kidding when I say the meal and margarita were the best I’ve had. I ordered the special which was ground beef burrito and my husband had fish and shrimp (#99 I think).

Lovely wait staff. The music is so chill i could order without feeling overstimulated like at 7 Leguas. Perfect volume for a 5pm dinner. Not the biggest fan of the food tho. The salsa tastes and texture-wise was more like a marinara. The fajita steak tasted like it had some kind of oyster sauce or something else vaguely more asian leaning than i anticipated, like they got some funky tex-mex-chinese fusion going on. Not bad if thats what u expect, friggin weird when u dont lol. And the rice was….less mexican rice more….can of tomato with unseasoned white rice.
Not bad, but not the first place i would think of for mexican food. Would eat again if someone invited me out, wouldnt choose for my own taste tho. Again, AMAZING staff and very chill environment.
Oh and the margaritas taste the big frozen one was more than enough for my partner, i dont think theyre skimping on the tequila

My husband and I tried this restaurant last night for the first time. We were looking for a new Mexican place and I went by the good reviews. They weren’t kidding! This place is excellent. The food was amazing! I had “Nata’s Treasure” which was a combo place with cheese, enchiladas, and pork tamale. My husband had “Tacos Carbon”. Both plates were delicious and filling. They have cooked salsa that was unlike any I’ve ever had. So much flavor but not too spicy. Both my husband and I often get reflux from Mexican food, but amazingly neither of us did. I also had a mango margarita that was the best I’ve ever had. Not too sweet, or syrupy like some are. I think they used fresh mangos in it, as well as a few chunks on top. Sufficiently boozy too, without any extra tequila! We will DEFINITELY be back!! This place is a total WOW!

Fried Avocado was good -Waitress was very nice. The bathroom (located at entrance) was extremely smelly! I was going to tell host but she was not there when I came out -must of been a dirty diaper left in there!

This was very good. Service was excellent, food was tasty. The chips and salsa come out warm, always a good sign. The unusual thing was the enchiladas were made with corn tortillas. I’m old and have eaten a lot of enchiladas and never had corn tortillas. Good, just strange, I did ask if that was their norm, Yes it was. The bad mark is that the rest rooms smelled bad.

Tonight was our (my mother and I) first time to visit TexOro in Huntsville, TX and it was so good! I think I’ve found my new favorite Mexican restaurant!
TexOro opened in the old Los Panchitos (Mr. Gatti’s for us old school Huntsvillians) spot and the interior was clean and well decorated with a mix of tables and booths.
Their food… (Happy drool… So stinkin’ full right now!).
They utilize spice just right in the salsa, queso, and flavorful meat. The tamales are next level good!
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Oh, and the small margaritas came in a frosted mug and were delicious!
This place gets a solid 5 Stars from this local guide!

In just a few short months this place has gone from a so-so establishment to a place that is top notch for both food and service. The new manager, Kenia, kicks butt at her job! She visits every table personally, and if there’s a problem she fixes it quickly. The whole staff is very attentive and friendly, and the food itself is easily three times better than it used to be. Also, the drinks are awesome! This is our favorite place in town now.
Quick story – we went on a Friday night when the place was packed. No one had ever seen this restaurant so busy. We could tell that even the staff weren’t expecting so much business that night, but Kenia and the crew handled it like pros. They thought on their feet, improvised, found solutions to problems, and got everyone taken care of with the same level of attention they always have, and were still cheerful and friendly the whole time. Great job!
