My fiance and I were in town for a concert and we’re looking for a place to eat. We stumbled upon this place and let me tell you, the ABSOLUTE best authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had!!! We live in Huntsville area and will definitely be going back to Birmingham just for the food.

This place is great. For me, it sets the bar for what a great Mexican restaurant should be. Warm, very full baskets of chips and top notch salsa. Food is always very good after having explored a good bit of the menu. Menu has many choices. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The perfect balance of welcoming and keeping needs met without being disruptive of eating and visiting with those dining with you. Best of all, if you happen to need to eat quickly, they will get you in, well fed with great food, and out faster than many “fast food” places these days.

Friday night at Pablo’s was perfect. We had nicely crafted cocktails to start the evening. The staff and owners are always so very courteous and seek to make every visit a great experience. Steak fajita nachos were spot on and so very tasty. We were never rushed and always made to feel we could enjoy the experience at our own pace. Steve, Susan and Putu ensure a great visit every time. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

I’ve very disappointed with my lunch. My go-to dish is the Avocado Salad. I ordered one with chicken and one with shrimp. I’ve eaten here several times, and this is by far the worst. If I wanted a chicken or shrimp salad with avocado on the side, that’s what I would have ordered. This salad looks thrown together and rushed. Thr salad usually comes with a whole avocado sliced with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, corn, and cheese.
This place will go on my Hit or Miss List. Sometimes it’s a Hit and sometimes it’s a Miss. So, if you’re hungry, I wouldn’t recommend it. Go somewhere you know will be a hit.

Honestly, the few times I have been in for take out I have never been greeted just have had to wait until whoever is in charge of the cash register I guess finally comes around to bring my order out. My first experience at Pablo’s was really great! But the second and third time was not as great. I ordered the chicken fajitas and I do not believe any of it was worth the $18+ price I paid for. The chicken had no flavor. It is the first time I eat out and had chicken with absolutely no flavor no seasoning on it. The beans sadly had a burnt taste to it. I also ordered a large cheese dip because my daughter lovessss cheese dip! And unfortunately it tasted burnt as well. I really hate that they would sell food that tastes gross and even worse burnt. I don’t know who in their right mind would want to go pay anything for burnt food. It’s disgusting I’m sorry I was left very upset and disappointed that we had to throw away our dinner on a nice Sunday evening. I spent above $50 on our family’s dinner. So after our third time visiting this restaurant we won’t be coming back based on our experience we have had.

Steer clear of this place! My daughter and I ate there tonight around 7pm. Once home and settled, I became violently ill with terrible stomach pains, diarrhea, and vomiting. I am now up at 2am cleaning vomit from my daughter’s room after eating here. She had a chicken quesadilla kids meal with rice and beans and I consumed a shredded chicken chimichanga with rice and beans. I have never felt so sick after eating out at a restaurant. Neither of us finished our meals due to the extreme saltines of the meat. Needless to say, we won’t be returning. Eat here at your own risk.

Our favorite place with our favorite people! How can you go wrong with anything on this menu?!?! We love Susan and her husband and Putu and the rest of the staff and we eat there an average of twice a week. My favorites are the southwestern rolls, the chicken and rice dishes, and the quesadillas. My wife loves the fajitas. Looking forward to a bit warmer weather so we can sit outside. Loving this place and the whole crew!
