The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered two steaks—the Ribeye and the Wagyu Bavette—and I’d highly recommend the Bavette. The Belgian Tripel and the Malbec/Merlot were fantastic pairings. We also had the tartare and the mushroom sides, which were both excellent. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely come back.

I loved the play on the word Shambles, a middle English word for slaughterhouse. The place was very busy but the service was still great! Steaks are listed on the chalk board and crossed out when ordered. The steaks were prepared to perfection for all of us.

Brad, Brad, Brad, you and the kitchen staff made my day.

Beefiness: Bavette and hanger—connoisseur picks from worked muscles, bursting with primal, mineral beef essence.

Mushroom Medley isn’t just a side—it’s an umami powerhouse, leveraging butter, wine, and yolk to refine and deepen the main event.

Cocktail Appendix: Sazerac Pairings
Sazerac with hanger/bavette or tartare nails power, depth, and balance.

When Sazerac Meets Tartare, it makes me want to dance.
Hanger’s Umami-rich, mineral-earthy, light chew just makes a happy.

In Details: Wagyu Bavette’s Beef-forward, refined fat, supple plus the Spice-dry contrast allows Cognac fruit softens richness.

Just go! Actually, I would love to eat there everyday next time.

This is literally one of the best steakhouses I’ve ever been to anywhere in the United States. The offerings for the price are incredible, the service is immaculate, and the vibe is homey and inviting.
And to be clear, some of the best food I’ve ever had.

We had an excellent meal at The Shambles with friends! The steak is 10/10 — one of the best I’ve had in Seattle. The starters and sides were also great. We had the tartare, pickles, potatoes, and a variety of steaks. We also enjoyed the red wine and a few no-alcohol cocktails. We sat on the patio which was lovely on a nice day. Fantastic service. There are a lot of great places to eat in Seattle and this place quickly shot to the top of our list of favorites for steak and/or dinner out with another couple. We’ll be back!

I came here once, then it became a place I wanted to visit all the time. Its a true staple and a favorite of mine. As a steak house, they get it right everytime… At least in my experience. Everything is made with such flavor and nothing has truly disappointed me. I think the only thing would be that I wish they did a late night happy hour the last hour they close. The happy hour is currently 4-5, right when they open. It’s absolutely an amazing deal. They have one of my favorite steak tartare in Seattle area. I think about it often. The drinks are stellar and the service is incredible! Amazing experience last time that I want to come back more often now. Anyways please have late night happy hour, I am BEGGING!!

Update: still so delicious and love the happy hour from 4-5 daily

Came here for happy hour and we were truly blown away by the quality and value. Walking into the space, you are instantly greeted by a cozy and comfortable but elevated vibe—sort of like stepping out of a side street in London and into a warm, Old World pub.

The cuts of meat available are tallied on a chalkboard for true carnivores to select their steak and custom cook to their liking. On the happy hour menu, the burger and steak tartare were both phenomenal (truly jumbo-sized portions), particularly for the price. The drinks are stiff, cold, and free-flowing. We also enjoyed the shishito peppers and pickle plate.

We’ll be back the next time we want to hop across the pond without the flight. Highly recommended!

We tried a new place for steak and this place did not disappoint at all. The house favorite of the Wagyu Bevette was amazing!! So much flavor and so tender. The sides, salad and dessert were equally delicious! I am not a huge fan of the shared table dining experience, but that was the only less than fabulous part. Will be back for sure!

I’ve been both for dinner and just for the casual happy hour stop in, and the service is always impeccable in both contexts. Some of the better I’ve ever experienced. The food is already incredible and just makes it such a joy to come here, even if just for a drink!

Coworker recommended this place but we are very disappointed. The restaurant is understaffed (3 servers including the bartender), food is so bad and in fact we got food poisoning from it. We ordered 19oz ribeye and pork chop. We came for dinner and we started vomiting at midnight in the hotel room. Pork chop is rock hard. 19oz steak is 97 dollars, for this price point we expected a better quality steak. Very disappointed. Not to mention the restaurant doesn’t have good air flow, the whole place smelled greasy.
